Located Safely: Guy Victor Lewis, 85, Bellevue, WA
Missing Bellevue man found in Oregon
An 85-year-old Bellevue man with Alzheimer’s disease who disappeared Friday morning was located Saturday afternoon in Ontario, Ore. – almost 450 miles away near the Idaho state line.
Guy Victor Lewis was found about 3:45 p.m. by Ontario police, Bellevue Police Department spokeswoman Carla Iafrate said in a statement.
“I do not have many details about the contact, but I was told our subject thought he was driving to Kentucky,” Iafrate said.
Lewis hadn’t been seen since 10:25 a.m. Friday at a Bank of America branch in Bellevue’s Lake Hills neighborhood, near Lake Sammamish.
According to KING-TV, when Lewis’ wife returned home she found that her husband and their gold Ford Escape were gone. KING reported that she told police it wasn’t unusual for Lewis to drive short distances from home, but not to go on lengthy trips alone.
Thank you for your attention,
