(Press Release) - Feb. 1, 2013 - LostNMissing Inc, the nonprofit organization in New England is assisting the husband and family of missing Jennifer Ramsaran. The group, along with family and friends, will be holding a public event titled "Shining Hope" to help bring awareness of Jennifer's missing status. The public and media will be invited to attend. Volunteers will be needed. Missing Posters will be presented to all attendees to help the family spread awareness by posting them in surrounding communities with the hopes that someone with information will come forward.

The Shining Hope event will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in New Berlin, NY. The group will gather at St. Bartholomew's Church on 30 Pleasant Street, Norwich, NY 13815. The public is asked to bring lawn chairs if they wish for seating and to dress warm. Refreshments will be provided. A Flying Lantern release will also be done.

Jennifer Ramsaran, 36, a loving wife and mother was last seen on December 11, 2012 wearing blue jeans, a purple-bluish top and black jacket and left her home to go to the Destiny USA Mall for Christmas shopping. When she did not return her husband reported her missing. She has not been seen since. Her cell phone was found along state Route 23 in the Town of Plymouth, NY. Later, officials located her maroon 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with New York registration EFA1962 abandoned, in Norwich. It is unknown who abandoned the mini-van. Authorities ask if anyone has information regarding the mini-van, and if they saw or know who may have left it at the apartment complex, to please contact them. Whatever information someone may have could help bring leads to Jennifer's case.

Jennifer is 5'5" and weighs approx. 190lbs. Jennifer lost a significant amount of weight prior to her disappearance. This is an important note to help make recognition as her photographs vary due to her weight loss.

The investigation of Jennifer's disappearance is ongoing with the Chenango Sheriff's Department and they ask anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please contact them at (607) 334-2000, or through your local police. All calls will be kept confidential.
