Howard County police need your help finding a missing elderly man.
Huber Earl Smutz, Jr., 82, was reported missing around 3 p.m. Saturday from his home in the 700 block of Driver Road in Marriottsville. A family member woke up around noon and found that Smutz and his 2007 silver Honda Accord with MD tag HYR743 were missing.
Police describe Smutz as a white male, balding, with straight gray hair and blue eyes, no facial hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a red and blue jacket.
Police are concerned about Smutz's welfare. He has been diagnosed with early stage dementia and has no cell phone. He has been known to frequent Carroll County and the Rotary Club.
Anyone with information should call 911.
