Relatives and friends of a 13-year-old girl are putting up fliers and spreading the word after she disappeared Thursday morning.

Delicia Moreno, an eighth-grader at Winton Middle School, was last seen around 7:50 a.m. Thursday walking past Burbank Elementary School on Burbank Street, according to Jessica Avila, 29, a family friend. Avila said she watched surveillance video Friday that showed Delicia heading west from the Burbank campus toward nearby railroad tracks before her disappearance.

Relatives filed a missing persons report with authorities as soon as they found out that Delicia had not arrived at school Thursday morning, Avila said.

Delicia has been contacted in the past by a 23-year-old man who is a friend of her family, Avila said, and relatives are concerned she may have left with or been taken by the man.

Alameda County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson said Moreno's mother believes her daughter ran away with her boyfriend, but Nelson could not confirm the age of the boyfriend.

─>The teen is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and a small scar on her forehead, near her hairline.

─>She was last seen wearing a red 49ers sweatshirt with white lettering, blue jeans with holes and black leggings underneath, and white Vans sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Alameda County Sheriff's Office at 510-667-3636.
