A 5-year-old girl kidnapped Monday from a west Philadelphia school by a woman dressed in traditional black Muslim clothing was found alone Tuesday morning tied up to a playground set about three miles from the school, according to the Breaking News Network.

The girl, Nailla Robinson, was found up about 5:30 a.m. in an Upper Darby Township park in the area of 69THStreet, according to various reports. The Amber Alert issued Monday night was canceled.

The latest report says Robinson was found tied up to a playground set, but some initial reports said she was found at the SEPTA train station at 69th and Market streets in Philadelphia and others said she was found at a park under a bleacher wearing only a T-shirt.

Nailla was abducted from the Bryant School at 60th Street and Cedar Avenue in Philadelphia about 8:50 a.m. Monday by a woman dressed in Islamic clothing, similar to how Nailla's mother was dressed in a video interview with the Associated Press.

Other media reports identify Nailla's grandfather as Asim Abdur-Rashid, who is a well-known leader in the Islamic communities in Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley. According to a published report in April, he was among a group of Muslims to offer a $20,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those who disguise themselves as Muslim women while committing crimes in response to a series of bank robberies and a homicide in Philadelphia committed by men dressed in traditional female Islamic attire.

Authorities said the woman who abducted Nailla was dressed all in black, including black gloves and a face-covering, which based on various descriptions was probably a niqab — an Islamic shoulder-length veil that covers the face and hair but has a slit for the eyes. Some reports also said the woman appeared to be pregnant.

The woman entered the school about 8:50 a.m. and removed Nailla from her kindergarten classroom, which apparently was a total breach of the school's protocol that requires parents or guardians to wait in the office for their child, according to published reports.

Police said the woman identified herself as "Tiffany" at the office, but her signature was not legible in the visitor log book.

The girl's mother, Latifa Abdul-Rashid, told Philadelphia media outlets that she did not realize her daughter had been abducted until the end of the school day when a caretaker from an after-school program arrived to pickup Nailla and her brother.

Latifa Abdul-Rashid had dropped off Nailla and her son at the school in the morning.

The girl was reported missing to Philadelphia Police Department about 3 p.m., and Mayor Michael Nutter offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the location of Nailla and the arrest of her abductor.

The state police issued an Amber Alert on behalf of the city police department about 9 p.m. Amber Alerts are issued when authorities believe a child is in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm.
