A Mingo County woman has been missing since Sunday, Dec. 30, and may be in danger, law enforcement officers with the West Virginia State Police and Mingo County Sheriff’s Department say.

Evelyn Joyce Farnum, 55, of the Right Fork of Laurel Creek, left her home between 10:30 and 11 p.m. Sunday in a black 2003 Jeep Liberty.

Family members say Farnum left without taking her purse or cell phone, which they say is not typical for her.

▬►Farnum is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and about 100 pounds. She has brown eyes and sandy blond hair.

Anyone with information about Farnum’s whereabouts is asked to call West Virginia State Police at (304) 235-6000 or the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department at (304) 235-0300. Callers may remain anonymous.
