The Canyon County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a runaway teen from Caldwell who was last seen more than two months ago.
Sixteen-year-old Casandra Valadez picked up her one-year-old son Christian from his daycare on the morning of Aug. 29, 2012. They then left town with a male companion.
Valadez is about 5-foot-4, 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
She is traveling with 30-year-old Jose Antonio Duran Lizarraga of Mexico, who is currently a person of interest in this case. He has worked at several orchards and dairies in the Treasure Valley, but has used aliases.
The sheriff's office says Casandra has been in touch with family members to let them know she is OK. Investigators believe she may still be in the Treasure Valley.
Anyone with information regarding Casandra's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the sheriff's office at 208-454-7531.
