A teacher has been missing from Santa Barbara Junior High for the past six days.
Special education teacher Craig Rudholm, 48, was reported missing by the school when he didn't show up for classes but police say there are no signs of foul play.
He was last seen on October 27th.
He is described as a 5'08 man with gray hair and gray eyes.
The principal of Santa Barbara Junior High released a statement: "We do not know where he is and because we want to make sure he is safe, we have notified the SB police department to help locate him."
Central Coast News reached out to his family who says Rudholm has gone missing before.
They say they first found out when his sister who lives in San Jose called them. They say his sister checks on him from time to time since he has gone missing in the past.
Central Coast News spoke with a former teacher who worked with Rudholm for two years but wished to remain anonymous.
"(He's) a really mellow person, easy going person to be around...he was dedicated to his students and very involved in his job, cam in everyday I never saw him call in sick. He was always there," says the former co-worker.
She says she is worried and surprised that police say Rudholm is "voluntary" missing.
"I'm very surprised that he is missing recently I'm very concerned about him. And I wonder where he is?"
Anyone with information on Craig Rudholm's whereabouts is encouraged to contact Santa Barbara police.
