VULNERABLE MISSING CHILD: Isiah Amari Terry, 10 - Greensboro, NORTH CAROLINA (goes by "Amari" - has a disability and can't use his right arm and tends to move slowly)

Untitled1

Greensboro Police are searching for a 10-year-old boy after officials said he went missing from his home on Guest Street Sunday morning.

Officials said Isiah Amari Terry, who goes by “Amari,” got into a fight with his mother around 9:30. The boy left home, and Terry’s mother said she immediately went outside to look for him only a few minutes later and he was nowhere to be seen.

“We’ve searched the neighborhood, we’ve checked businesses in the area, we’ve spoken to residents,” said Captain Jane Allen. “At this point we haven’t found anyone who has seen him.”

Authorities said Amari was dressed for church and wearing a long sleeve cream-colored shirt, brown vest, brown pants and black dress shoes.

His mother said Amari has a disability and cannot use his right arm and tends to move slowly. She said he usually plays in the park just across the street and never wanders into the nearby woods.

Police and K-9 units searched the area extensively but did not find Amari.

“There is the possibility that he might have gotten into a car with someone and be even farther from this neighborhood,” said Cpt. Allen. “We are hoping not, but that’s always a possibility. If someone sees anyone matching this description, we encourage them to call the police immediately.”

Isiah Amari Terry is a 10-year-old black male, 4 feet tall and about 50 pounds with a skinny build, light complexion and short black hair.

Amari’s family said they want him to know they aren’t mad, just worried.

“His parents say he’s never ever been gone this long before,” Cpt. Allen said.
