The Augusta County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in locating a missing person.
James W. Cornelius, 20 years old, was reported missing on March 20, 2012 by a concerned family member who had not talked to Mr. Cornelius since the end of January, 2012.
Cornelius has ties to the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County area and Page County.
An outstanding arrest warrant, for a probation violation, is on file with Page County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation into Mr. Cornelius' disappearance revealed his friends and family have not seen him since the end of January: though one person reported recently receiving a message from him. In the message, James mentioned that he was ok.
James is described as standing 5'09" and weighing 205 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair and wears eye glasses.
Anyone with information about the well being and/or location of James W. Cornelius is asked to contact the Augusta County Sheriff's Office at 540-245-5333.
