Michael Taus, 25, is missing. He was last seen on June 18 at his home by his father Russel Taus. He was on his way to meet a girl that he met online as a "blind date." Michael, ran a business detailing cars and boats, and also built websites on a freelance basis. His family is terribly worried and fear for his safety. It is not in his character to not make contact. What makes it further concerning is that his dog, a 2-year-old red-nose pit bull, and his food bowl, are also missing.
His car, a 2004 black Volkswagen Jetta, was found running in Elmont on June 24, 2010, police said. His cell phone has also been disconnected. Michael's bank accounts have not been used since his disappearance and police have no leads on where he may be. His family begs the public to please come forward if they've seen Michael or have any information.
