MISSING: Michael Dakota Horton, 16 - Nebraska

16-year-old Michael Dakota Horton Jr., who was last seen Sunday night at his home on Cat Square Road near Vale as he left to go to a rodeo with friends.

Horton has not spoken with his family since then, and attempts to call his cellphone have been unsuccessful, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said he might be in Catawba, Gaston or Lincoln counties.

Horton is described as a white male, about 5-foot-8 and 240 pounds. He has black hair and blue eyes, the Sheriff’s Office said, and he was last seen wearing an aqua polo shirt, white and blue plaid shorts, a wide-brimmed white hat and black Nike shoes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050.
