Jason Reil, 33, is missing. He went missing from his apartment in Brunswick, Maine and was last seen on January 12, 2012 He left behind his cell phone, glasses and keys and believed to have taken his wallet. Jason stopped taking needed medication and may exhibit agitation, pacing, mumbling and anxiety. He is of no threat to anyone, however, his condition makes him vulnerable and at-risk. Jason is more than probably in shelters or living on the street or possibly with an unknown person for shelter. It was found that he used his debit card at a Rite Aid Store in Brunswick, Maine on January 18, 2012 so it is believed that he is still in the area. Jason is an excellent artist and poet. His family is extremely worried and ask the public to please help look for Jason.

"I just want our daughter home where we know she will be safe." said Elvis McKee the father of Shanna. "Her mother is not holding up well, losing sleep and having a difficult time with her health and controlling her diabetes." Both parents are battling illness. Shanna's mom, a brittle diabetic, and her father battles extreme high blood pressure and heart ailments.

Elvis explains, "It is very hard in not knowing if my child is safe, well fed and not being abused. All we need is to know where she is, with whom and why they will not let her call home?" Elvis strongly believes that someone, or multiple people, may have talked Shanna into going somewhere and never brought their special needs daughter home. Windy McKee, Shanna's mom, said "All one would have to ask is if she wanted to go to McDonalds and she would have went. Especially if she recognized the person or if they were a mere acquaintance." said McKee. "I just beg whoever has Shanna to allow her to call home. Let us know she is alive and well." her mother cries.

Shanna Genelle Peoples, aka McKee, 19, is missing from Geneva, Alabama since September 08, 2011. She is considered at-risk due to her vulnerability as she is developmentally challenged. Shanna has a speech impediment and cannot read nor write well. She may be under the influence of adult males in their late 40's.

Shanna was reportedly last seen on the afternoon of Sept. 8, 2011 and never returned. Fears exist for her safety as she would never just disappear on her own. Shanna must take needed medication for medical purposes. She does not talk much and is childlike.

Land and air searches have been conducted by the police, Alabama Bureau of Investigation as well as many volunteers. The Geneva police departments along with half a dozen other agencies are utilizing their resources to help look for Shanna.

Her normally long blonde hair may be colored, cut or style changed. She is not hard to miss as she is six-feet tall and thin. Her family ask that the public please help look for Shanna. Both her mother and father have health problems and are extremely stressed since she went missing. On the day she went missing, her father was in the hospital for a heart condition and checked himself out to look for his daughter. He has been back to the hospital twice since her missing status.

FAMILY ANNOUNCES $5,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE SAFE RETURN OF SHANNA

THANKSGIVING WITHOUT SHANNA:
Shanna Peoples, 19, went missing on September 08, 2011 from Geneva County, Alabama. Her family had a somber Thanksgiving in which an empty chair sat that normally would be occupied by her. Peoples’s mother, Windy McKee, says “Thanksgiving was not the same. We really had nothing to celebrate except to pray and ask that whomever is holding our daughter, to please let her go.” Peoples’s stepfather, Elvis McKee, pipes in “Shanna is a wonderful young woman but she is extremely vulnerable and we believe that someone is either holding her against her will, or taking full advantage of her childlike 12-14 year old mentality. We only want her home where she is safe and so that when she does go out we know who she is with and what their intentions are with our daughter.” Peoples also is in need of required medication that has not been filled, nor has she made any attempts to give a location to receive her social security checks, which are being held for her at the Social Security Office.

Her parents is on a fixed income and has reached out to LostNMissing Inc, and KlaasKids, both nonprofit organizations that assists families of missing, to help them locate their daughter. Not a day goes by that they are not out searching, driving up and down streets and talking to people from neighborhood to neighborhood in their search for Peoples. “It’s like she just disappeared,” Elvis said. “Initially she befriended an adult male who is nearly 50 years old. “We were not happy about that,” said Peoples’s mom, “because she is a young woman and needs to associate with those around her own age. He was also quite bossy to her.” Elvis further adds, “While we know the last sighting was at his home, we do not know if someone may have befriended Shanna, one of his friends perhaps?” If that is the case, Peoples could be anywhere as he has friends with ties in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and even Missouri. “At this point we are reaching out to the entire United States. Shanna Peoples is easy to spot. She is nearly six-feet tall and that is unusual for a girl.” Elvis said.

A $5,000 reward is offered to whomever provides the information to the Geneva Police Department leading to the safe return of Shanna Peoples, or, information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance.

In the weeks since Peoples has been missing a search was conducted by KlaasKids as well as a Poster and Balloon event sponsored by LostNMissing Inc. KlaasKids also attended and along with family, friends and the public they helped to hang missing posters around various communities. The family asks that the public please look closely at the posters, as “Shanna must be out there somewhere. The alternative is too incomprehensible,” Elvis stated. Shanna is 5’11” – 6’0 tall with normally long light brown hair that she colors sandy blonde. She cannot read well and does not remember phone numbers or addresses. She also may want to come home but cannot, or is not physically able to reach out to her family for help. Five years later, mom determined not to quit search for missing son

It wasn’t long after the massive and emotionally draining search for her son began that Sue Olsen looked at one of her friends and sighed. “I can’t imagine,” she said, “doing this two years from now. Or five.”
Unfortunately, she is.
Friday will be the fifth anniversary of the disappearance of Brad Olsen, who, at age 26, was last seen looking for a ride home from a bar in DeKalb.
Dozens of news articles have been written about the Maple Park man who went missing Jan. 20, 2007. Hundreds of billboards and fliers were posted. Thousands of man hours — from police, family, friends and strangers — have been logged in the ongoing search that has included planes, helicopters, all-terrain vehicles, horses, canoes, canine units and psychics.
So much has happened, yet so little. In the five years since, there have been no arrests and no clues as to what happened to Brad Olsen — who lived with his parents — on that cold winter night. Still, his mother refuses to slow down, much less concede defeat. The DeKalb police say they are still “aggressively pursuing” leads, and Olsen prays for a break in the case that has haunted her dreams and defined her life.
Even more than an arrest or conviction, she wants to be able to bury what is left of her son, who was declared legally dead in March 2010.
“If I got one or the other, I would be satisfied,” Olsen says. “But I would rather find Brad’s remains and not have his killer brought to justice than to have somebody convicted and never find his remains.”
The harsh winters of the last few years have rendered that task more difficult. But this mild season, at least until the first big snow, has made it possible to “get out a lot,” looking in areas that otherwise were inaccessible. Twice in the last week, Olsen went with “my canine group,” which includes eight to 10 teams of volunteers and their dogs trained to sniff out cadavers. “The creeks are so low, it’s an opportune time to search the banks,” she says.
There are other things Olsen can do to keep the search alive. Last week, before the snowstorm, she took advantage of the balmy weather to replace worn and missing posters with another 50 or 60 signs in the DeKalb, Sycamore and Elburn areas. On Friday, she was in the snow hanging banners at the intersection of County Line Road and Route 38.
Olsen also maintains close contact with missing persons groups and data banks; and routinely Googles words like body and remains and skeletal, “hoping for something” to pop up. Some days she gets as many as 100 alerts.
And Olsen makes it a point of speaking regularly to DeKalb police, whose efforts she describes as “awesome.” While the investigation is still active, and tips continue to come in, “a case this old becomes much more time-consuming,” says Lt. Gary Spangler. “We are doing as much as we can. Whether any of these tips pan out remains to be seen.”
At this point, Olsen admits, there is little else to go on except hunches — and their memories. In November, the family held a memorial service for Brad at the local Methodist church. On Friday, there will be a simple gathering for a few close loved ones to remember the young man “who loved life and lived it so fully.”
But searching for closure means searching for his body.
In addition to helping oversee the rental property she and husband Bill own, Olsen spends time with her surviving children and grandchildren, including Brad’s young daughter. Even then, she can feel guilt pulling at her for taking time away from finding the remains. More than Bill, who tries to steady the emotional roller coaster they’ve been forced to ride for five years, this quest now defines her new normal.
Olsen said the night Brad disappeared, she had a dream while on vacation in Mexico. Someone was beating him badly, a vision that was clear enough for her to identify general features of the assailants.
The next morning she tried desperately to get in touch with her son. By then, he was already gone.
“I’m not giving up,” Olsen says. “I am determined ... hopeful that something will break.”

Missing Patrick Carnes , 86, in Nevada

Patrick F. Carnes, 86, and his 100-pound mixed breed dog Lucky vanished without a trace from I-80 in Nevada 20 miles east of Winnemucca Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Mr. Carnes was traveling from Ohio to his home in Reno, NV. When he failed to arrive home family members reported him missing. Police located his dark green Subaru abandoned near exit 205 along I-80. Missing from the vehicle were Carnes and Lucky, as well as Carnes’s wallet. His checkbook and luggage remained in the vehicle
He was last seen at a Flying J Travel Plaza in Wells, Nevada, April 13 around 9 p.m., 350 miles east of Reno. Mr. Carnes is a WWII Veteran in good health, and he often traveled with his dog. Family, law enforcement and volunteers have searched tirelessly for him but have not turned up any clues. It is thought he may have gotten a ride from someone traveling along I-80. Patrick, a World War II vet who served in the Solomon Islands, was a proud, active man, with no signs of slowing down.
On April 12, he packed up his dark green Subaru wagon and drove back to Reno with his best friend, a slightly overweight, 100-pound Akita/mixed-breed dog named "Lucky."
The following night, just after Patrick and Lucky entered the state of Nevada, a trooper pulled Patrick over for not changing lanes appropriately near the town of Wells. After speaking briefly with the officer, Patrick got off with a warning and continued his late-night trek across the state via westbound I-80.
Though they were only about a six hour drive from Reno, Patrick and Lucky never made it there.
The next morning, Patrick's car was found abandoned in sage brush, a good distance from the highway in rural Winnemucca.
Investigators would like to make a plea to anyone -- specifically long-haul truck drivers -- who may have driven on I-80 between Wells and Winnemucca, and saw Patrick and Lucky.
Detectives believe a trucker might have seen what happened to Patrick and Lucky, but no one has come forward as of yet.
"Some trucker saw an old man with a dog," Humboldt County Undersheriff Curtiss Kull said.
Consequently, investigators would like to make a plea to anyone -- specifically long-haul truck drivers -- who may have driven on I-80 between Wells and Winnemucca, and saw Patrick and Lucky between the late evening hours of April 13 through the early morning hours of April 14.

Unsolved: Bodies of Mother and 3 Children located in barrels in NH (Cold Case)

On November 10, 1985 a hunter discovered the remains of an adult white female (23-33 years old) and a female child (8-10 years old) inside a 55 gallon metal drum in woods located in the Bear Brook Garden Trailer Park near 22 Edgewood Drive in Allenstown, NH.

On May 9, 2000 two more victims were found in the same vicinity. These victims were also in a metal drum. The third victim was a white female child (1-3 years old) and the fourth victim was also a white female child (4-8 years old). These two children are biologically related to the adult female and it is possible all four victims are related. It is also possible the children may NOT necessarily be female as it is difficult to say with 100% accuracy, through bone morphology, that they are certain as female children. All indications state such, but there is a slight chance one of the children could be a male child.

"This case was particularly heinous and brutal," "It either shows some kind of relationship between the perpetrator and victims that's so close and personal where they were bludgeoned and put in barrels." said Jeff Strelzin, Senior Assistant Attorney General and Homicide Unit Chief

People who murder their entire families more often use methods like poisoning or shooting. Crimes of intense violence are typically committed against a single victim.

"On the other hand, a serial perpetrator, a serial stalker with multiple victims, as we believe they're from one time. . . . That gives a different profile, a psychotic profile." said Strelzin.

Investigators could not comment on whether the victims had been bludgeoned.

For now, little information has been drawn from the remains. Forensic analysts have determined that the woman was between 23 and 32 years old. She had curly, light-brown hair and, like the children, was either white or Native American. She was about 5-foot-5.

The child found with her was a girl between 5 and 10 years old. The girl stood about 4-foot-3 and had light-brown hair and ears pierced twice.

The second pair of bodies were those of two children who appear to be younger. Investigators believe they are female, but the children were too young to know for sure.

"You can't get sex from skeletal morphology when they're that young," said Kim Fallon, a forensic investigator at the state medical examiner's office. "They have traits that suggest they're female, but that's not definite."

It is believed that the victims were killed sometime between 1977-1985. The deaths have all been ruled homicides, but the specific cause of death has not been released publicly.

One of those children was between 4 and 8 years old and stood about 3-foot-8. She had light-brown hair and a noticeable overbite. The other child was between 1 and 3 years old. She stood about 2-foot-5 and had long, blond hair.

The initial DNA tests showed that the woman could be the mother of the child found with her and of the youngest child. Investigators said she is not the mother of the child who was between 4 and 8 years old.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has produced images from the bone structure of the woman and the two children who might be hers. There are different theories about how four people could have disappeared as long as 30 years ago without ever being identified. The woman could have been a teenager who left home and had children without her family knowing, Fallon said.
Other possibilities exist that she and the children could be from the West Coast and brought here by a long-haul trucker, or possibly came here from Canada.

At some point he decided to rid of the entire family. "There are so many possibilities that we ask that no stone go unturned." said Caron. This is why it is important that all missing loved ones be entered into NamUs, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, so that unsolved and unidentified earthly bodies can have their names." Missing Abducted Decoriyana Nash, age 2 MEMPHIS, TN RILYA ALERT

Police are searching for a little girl who may have been abducted by her mother who failed to return the girl after a Christmas visit, December 27, 2011.
Police say Decoriyana Nash, age 2, was supposed to spend the holiday with her biological mother Keosha Avery at her home in the 3200 block of Hickory View. However, when the two-year-old girl wasn't returned Tuesday, police discovered the address was abandoned.
Officers say Avery may be taking the girl to Texas.
Nash was last seen wearing a Turq jogging suit, a white shirt with the words "Rock Star" written on t he front. Decoriyana Nash is two-feet tall and weighs 33 pounds. She has black pigtail with multi-colored bows.

Recently Candice was threatened by an ex-girlfriend of a man she was dating. Her mother stated that Candice was threatened because of a former boyfriend that she was seeing. His ex threatened to "take Candice out" because she wanted the boyfriend back. The un-named ex made threats in front of witnesses that she was going to "take out Candice anyway she could" to get (him) back. Police said they have already talked to her, and she denied making the threats. She left all her belongings behind including her cell phone, wallet, purse, and ID. Her family asks that everyone please check their property, while they do not want to fear the worst…they just know in their hearts she would not go off hiding without making contact.

It is with sadness to report the earthly body of Mr. Paul Barnet, 54, has been located. Our prayers for his family, friends, and all who love and will miss him.
An off-duty state police officer located the body of a missing Barnstead man Wednesday, according to police.
The body of Paul Barnet, 54, was located between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Peacham Trail in Barnstead, said authorities.
Police said they were still investigating the circumstances around Barnet's death as of Wednesday evening.
Barnstead police responded to the report of Barnet's disappearance on Dec. 13.
Family members told police they hadn't seen or heard from him since Dec. 6, and neighbors last reported seeing him doing yardwork on Dec. 10.

Paul Barnet, 54, a Rochester, NH police officer from 1989 to 1996, has been missing for over a week after last seen in his yard by neighbors on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. Since he was reported missing, officers have checked Barnet’s residence, property and neighborhood, but have so far been unable to locate the missing man. Friday’s search included Barnstead police, State Police K9 units, and a number of officers from the state Fish and Game, McDowell said. The group split up into teams of two, and with Barnet’s home as the epicenter, spanned out in all directions, performing a grid search from 8 a.m. until about 7 p.m. included wooded areas nearby and a number of snowmobile trails.
While the land around Locke Lake has been searched, police currently have no information that would encourage them to search the lake itself.

Last week, Barnet’s ex-wife Ruthanne Barnet, of Alton, said she is concerned foul play might be involved, and has been worrying and trying to gather any information she can on her ex-husband and where he might be.
Barnet, she said, would never just walk away from his family, particularly his two daughters, Hannah and Haley, one of whom graduated from the University of Rhode Island Saturday.
“He’s the greatest father anyone could ask for,” Ruthanne said Friday. “He’s always been there to be a father even though we didn’t get along. He’s a good guy. He’s supposed to be at my daughter’s graduation … He was so proud and looking forward to it.”
Ruthanne said she last saw Barnet at Thanksgiving, and that nothing seemed out of the ordinary. And when she went to his house a few days ago to look around in hopes of finding some clue to his disappearance, nothing seemed wrong there either.
“The house was fine, there was milk in the refrigerator and food, the cat was there, his bed was made,” she said.

Barnet’s daughter Hayley Barnet, of Alton, said in an email Tuesday that while neighbors say they saw her father on Dec. 12, he was also seen on Dec. 8, walking north on Route 20 in the breakdown lane at approximately 8:30 p.m. He was reportedly wearing jeans, a puffy winter jacket, a backpack and a CD player and using a walking stick, Hayley said, adding that family members believe that since these clothes were not found in his home, it is likely what Barnet is wearing.
Hayley said that there is a lot of speculation as to what could have happened to her father, but it appears to her he left suddenly with the intention of returning shortly, since his keys and wallet were still at the house and his cats were without food and water when she visited the home on Dec. 13.
“He wouldn’t let them be deprived for a week, let alone a day,” Hayley said Tuesday. “We’ve called every number in his contact book and no one has seen or talked to him recently. We fear something may have happened while he was out walking.” The family plans to continually search and ask the public to please help by looking at anyone closely who may be Mr. Barnet. Please keep him in sight and contact authorities.

Kelly Armstrong, 28, a young mother from Kokomo, Indiana is missing. Her family contacted the police after not hearing from their loved one over a period of time. It is not known what date she went missing but it is known that she would never go this long without making contact with her family, friends and certainly would not have left her child behind. Her family fears the worst and ask that the public please help. Kelly was living with her boyfriend, Travis Funke, and since her disappearance police arrested Travis on an "escape charge." Authorities said he cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet a judge ordered him to wear for a driving conviction. He is not facing charges in connection with Kelly's disappearance. Meanwhile, family members are trying to stay strong and are desperately seeking information on the whereabouts of Kelly. Crimestoppers is offering a reward.

Justin Brian Hall, 40 is missing. He has been missing since Sept. 7, 2011 while house-sitting at a residence on Leupp Road near milepost 442, just west of the Navajo Reservation, in Coconino, Arizona, when he disappeared. His vehicle and personal belongings were still at the house. However, a search of the surrounding area did not turn up any evidence of his whereabouts.
Justin is an experienced outdoors man, hiker and rock climber. He usually wears shorts or jeans and hiking boots. Justin is very intelligent and has many skills. He is somewhat introverted so he may not initiate social conversations and is not known to associate in “group type” social settings. He may possibly be trying to “live off the land” solo.

Marvin Gabrion convicted of murdering baby Shannon's mother. Where is baby Shannon?
Details: In 1996 in Cedar Springs, Michigan, Marvin Charles Gabrion raped Rachel Timmermann. Rachel planned to testify against Gabrion in the summer of 1997, but on June 3, 1997, Rachel and her infant daughter, Shannon, were picked up by an unidentified man and disappeared. On July 5, Rachel was found brutually raped and murdered in Oxford Lake. Police believed that Gabrion murdered Rachel in a ill-concieved attempt to keep her from testifying against him in his criminal activities. Gabrion was soon tied to the disappearances of three men. Wayne Davis, a friend of Marvin who was with him on the night he raped Rachel, vanished sometime during 1997.John Weeks, a friend of Rachel's who was later identified as the person that picked her and Baby Shannon, Rachel's daughter vanished in June of 1997. Robert Allen, a transient from Grand Rapids whose identity was being used by Gabrion, vanished sometime during 1997. None of these people have been located and Gabrion has been convicted for Rachel's murder.

"I believe Mr. Gabrion should be put to death because of what he did to my daughter, Rachel," her father, Tim Timmerman told 24 Hour News 8 on Wednesday. "He put her in handcuffs and chains, he chained cement blocks to her. He wrapped her entire head in duct tape. He put her on a boat and drug her out into the middle of Oxford Lake and then he threw her in."

Rachel, 19, was alive when she went under.

"If that doesn't deserve the death penalty," he asked, "what does?"

"I don't care" if he's put to death, Verhage said. "I really don't care." But she wants him on death row.

Though Michigan does not have the death penalty , the lake is on federal land -- and that's how Gabrion came to receive a death sentence once he was convicted of the crime.

Police searched the same lake for Shannon, believing Gabrion dumped her there with her mom, but some still hold out hope she's alive.

"I loved my granddaughter. I watched her take some of her first steps. She told me hi," he said.

Tim Timmerman co-wrote The Color of Night about the case, which is the best seller in Kim Verhage's Reading Book Store in Rockford. He was shocked when 24 Hour News 8 told him an appeals court had overturned the death penalty for Gabrion.

"I was afraid it was going to be for him punching his lawyer. I thought that's why he was g oing to get off, not because of Judge (Robert Holmes) Bell making a mistake," he said. "I never would have guessed that.'

The apparent mistake was that Judge Bell failed to tell the federal jury that Gabrion couldn't get the death penalty if this were a state case.

"It seems to me that they're overthinking it, doesn't it? Aren't they overthinking it? The jury decided. The jury is the only one capable of giving the death penalty; it wasn't the judge; it wasn't an appeals court judge. It was the jury."

Kim Verhage is certain Gabrion is gloating in prison.

Ilya Lastovkin, age 22 in 2009, disappeared from his home in Stoughton, Massachusetts on November 12,2009 around 6:00am. He was scheduled to work that day at noon at a local store, but he missed work that day, and the next one, and all the following shifts. This is something that he would not normally do, as he was pretty happy with the extra hours that he was given. On Sunday, November 15th, Ilya was reported seen walking northbound along route 138 – this would have brought him toward the intersection of Interstate Highways 95 and 93 in Massachusetts. Sky Metalwala, age 2 is missing. Sky’s mother told police that she left him behind in the car while she and her 4-year-old daughter went for help after she ran out of gas around 9:00 am on Sunday, November 6 ,2011. She went to a gas station and called a friend, but when they returned to the vehicle an hour later, Sky was gone. A Bellevue police spokeswoman said at a press conference Monday that no gas can was found with the car afterward and the car did start briefly when officers tried it. Police have interviewed family and friends and media reports state the last known time that Sky was seen was 2-weeks prior to him going missing. His parents are in a divorce battle and both are being questioned by police and polygraphs given.

Police also shifted their investigation from where the car was found to the mother’s apartment building in Redmond, WA. Police officers were “extremely confident” that the child was no longer in the area around the vehicle, so they were now looking at places where he was before that.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have driven down 112th Ave. NE between State Route 520 and NE 24th St. from 7:00 to 10:00 am on Sunday, November 6 , 2011 even if they do not recall seeing the car belonging to Sky's mother, to please contact Bellevue police at 425-577-5656. Following a meeting with Garcia's family this week, Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra and Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts announced their intentions to organize a search party as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Angel.
"Volunteers are being asked to gather at the Tower Avenue entrance to Keney Park by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday," Segarra said. "While I know we, as a community, continue to grapple with the loss of power resulting from the recent storm, I hope individuals can find a way to contribute some of their valuable time to join Angel's family and friends to assist in this search."

Angel Garcia, 19, is missing. He was last seen on October 21, 2011 in the area of Newfield and New Britain avenues on his way to East Hartford, CT. Police said he was riding a red Honda 85 cc dirt bike with a large yellow "Geico" logo on the sides while wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers with a red design.

My gut believes mom and that Baby Lisa was kidnapped...
even against all the media has presented.
Here is my hypothesis as to what may have transpired the night Lisa disappeared:
Mom puts baby to bed 7:30 as she said.
She goes on computer , hot in room...opens window.
Mom gathers kids up shuts off lights shuts doors...Forgot to shut computer window.
All normal routine.
6 yr old wants to sleep with mom and new kitty. Mom says ok.
8 year old gets up at night and wants kitty....turns on all lights to look for kitty, sees mom door shut and figures will be in trouble if he wakes her so he goes back to bed. Now all the lights on.
Man/Woman come to kidnap baby that they wanted.
Man goes to open window and starts to bend inward, woman says "hey door is unlocked"...man gives up the window and goes in the house with woman through door.
Man sees and grabs cell phones off kitchen counter in case anyone wakes up in house and a possible confrontation may occur.
Woman gets baby...man and woman leave house.
They get in a car, possibly parked down the street..or goes to another home that is on that street.
Woman turns on phone to see if it works and maybe starts to dial a number and man grabs from her and shuts it off. Or maybe they dialed a number out purposely to make it appear mom was awake.
Dad comes home at 4am...sees lights on. Thinks wife is careless...or maybe thinks she left on due to his first midnight shift away.
He goes in house and starts shutting lights...goes to computer room...starts to shut the open window....and realizes bent frame.
Now he is wanting to know why all this goes on the first night he is not home...doesn't she have control of the kids?
Goes in bedroom a little bit irate...wakes her up and says "Why are all the lights on?' AND sees sleeping six year old.
Says "Why is he sleeping in here?" then remembers Lisa door open.
Perhaps intention was to look in on her and shut door so that she doesn't hear his voice upset.
When dad looks in he sees she is not in crib.
Asks mom "Where is Lisa?" Mom states "She is in her crib?!?"
Then all is realized, they call 9-1-1 and start looking for baby.
My prayers that I am right and Lisa is safe somewhere.
Which means YOU the public MUST look for all children Lisa's age to see if you spot her. Do not automatically assume the mother did something! We leave that to the police, but the public's job is to LOOK FOR LISA!

Please look out for this child. Her family desperately needs her. Normally newborn babies are abducted and “passed off as their own.” In this case, because Baby Lisa is 10 months old, be aware of any military soldiers coming home to greet a girlfriend or wife with a child that may not be his. It may be Baby Lisa. Perhaps the abductor could not find an infant “in time.” Be aware of any families that have recently “adopted” a ten month – 1 year old child. Look closely at new neighbors with a baby as it could be Lisa. She is a bit bigger than most 10 month old children and could pass, in body size, for a child a bit older.

Lisa has two bottom teeth, a small bug bite under her left ear and a beauty mark on her right outer thigh. Baby Lisa also has a cough and a cold when abducted.

James Donofrio, 64 MISSING from Youngstown, Ohio

Youngstown Ohio police officials are in the Mahoning River this afternoon looking for James Donofrio, 64, owner of the Avalon Gardens bar and restaurant on Belmont Avenue.

Activity is centered under the Market Street bridge. Cadaver dogs are also being used.

Boardman police took the missing persons report on Donorfio at 9:41 p.m. Monday at Donofrio’s residence.

Police said relatives told officers that Donofrio left his Boardman home to go close the bar at about 9 p.m. Sunday. His wife realized he was not home at 5:30 a.m. Monday, reports state.

About 7:20 a.m. Youngstown police discovered Donofrio’s Land Rover abandoned under the Market Street bridge near the Covelli Center. A search by Youngstown officers and police dogs did not find anything else, according to records.

Donofrio’s wallet with credit cards, his briefcase and iPhone were still in the vehicle, police said.

Donofrio’s wife, Rosanne Donofrio, told police that she spoke to bar employees who said that her husband never made it to Avalon Gardens Sunday night, reports state.

James’ last phone call was made at 1:24 a.m. Monday to a long-time friend and the message said “This is James Donofrio returning your call,” according to records.

Police said the man who received the message thought the formality was strange because he had been friends with James since high school.

STORY:
25 years later, investigators continue to search for brothers abducted by their father

ROCHESTER, N.H. — As private investigator Monty Curtis sat at an outdoor cafe in downtown Portsmouth on Wednesday, he was only a few communities away from the place where two small children were abducted by their father 25 years ago.
It was an abduction that sparked a nationwide search and investigation that Curtis and others have followed for 25 years.
The case began on Oct. 9, 1986, when Charles Martin Vosseler, 44 at the time, told his wife, Ruth Parker, with whom he was separated, that he was taking their two young sons, Charles Jason (C.J.) Vosseler, then 4, and William Vosseler, then 2, to visit family. The trio never returned.
While there have been sightings of Vosseler since, his whereabouts are still unknown. Vosseler is wanted by the FBI for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and for parental kidnapping.
And while the case may be decades old, there are still several agencies and organizations investigating it today.
Curtis has been involved in the case twice throughout its 25 years, beginning in 1988 and then again in 2006, after having drifted away from the case years before.
Now, he and several other investigators are continuing to search for the man who Curtis describes as “meticulous” and “narcissistic” — a man whom Curtis said he believes is likely living in plain sight.
When Charlie met Ruth
Ruth Parker met Charles Vosseler in 1981, when she answered a personal ad he placed in Mother Earth News. They began communicating through letters and by telephone, and a few months later met in person for the first time at Niagara Falls — his pick, Parker said.
Parker was living in Madison, Wis. at the time, but it was not long before she moved to Newton, N.H., where Vosseler was living at the time.
Parker said it was his openness and honesty that drew her to him initially.
“Given the circumstances, some might find that amusing,” she said Thursday from North Carolina, where she currently resides. “It turned out to be an illusion.”
Parker said Vosseler also seemed to embrace the notion of living a simple life and living with little government intrusion, something that she, too, was committed to.
Still, it was his desire to have children that was particularly attractive, Parker said.
“By that time I was in my 30s, and he was a proponent of having children, which was certainly a draw,” she said.
About a year after meeting, Vosseler and Parker were married, and began moving around the country buying foreclosed and distressed houses, fixing them up, and selling them for profit.
When the couple had their first child, C.J., about a year later, the family moved back to New Hampshire, where they stayed with Vosseler’s parents in East Kingston when they weren’t flipping houses.
Vosseler dabbled in real estate, in the stock market, holding yard sales and even horse racing, Parker said, before the family settled in Rochester and he opened his own real estate business in the city.
Parker described Vosseler as a typical family man, saying he was always kind to her and their sons.
“In the beginning he was around home a lot,” she said. “As a caregiver of the children, he was supportive of my efforts but he didn’t do the child care. He always told me that when the kids were 2 or older, he would help.”
And while Parker said she never would have thought her husband was capable of taking their children from her, Curtis said that in his talks with Vosseler’s ex-wives, he’s determined that he was likely planning on abducting any children that he had.
Curtis said that Vosseler’s first wife told him that when the couple separated, Vosseler told her they were lucky that they did not have children and that if they did, they wouldn’t be staying with her.
“She thinks she would have been a victim of the same circumstances,” Curtis said.
Because of this information, and other information collected as part of Curtis’ investigation into Vosseler, Curtis said he believes Parker was a victim from the start of their marriage.
“I think his ultimate goal was to find someone with a decent background and with a high intelligence who could bear his children,” Curtis said. “I think it was by design that he married Ruth for the simple reason of giving him children and that he was probably planning this all along.”
Parker, too, said that while she never thought of herself as a victim during their marriage, she realized on the day of the abduction that her husband had been planning the crime for a long time.
‘He took them because they’re his’
It was a Friday evening in October 1986 when Parker said she got a call from Vosseler saying he had taken the kids to visit some of this family and that he wanted to keep them there until Saturday. By this time, the couple had separated and were living in different homes, sharing custody of C.J. and William.
“I was unhappy about it because Saturday was my day off and I was looking forward to seeing my children,” Parker said.
Still, she relented and said she wanted the kids back by Saturday. On Saturday, however, Vosseler called again and said the kids were having fun and that they wanted to stay until Monday.
When Parker didn’t hear from Vosseler by Monday morning, she said she decided to go down to his realty business and give him a piece of her mind, assuming he would be back at work and that the kids were likely with a baby sitter.
When she arrived, however, the door was locked, and as she pounded on the door for someone to let her in, an employee of the company walked out with a box of office supplies and told her Vosseler had unexpectedly closed the company down Friday and told all employees that they no longer had a job.
“That’s the moment I knew for sure that something was wrong,” Parker said.
Parker then went to the family’s home, where Vosseler was still living, and found that all of her possessions were gone. Pictures of the boys and Charlie were also taken, Parker said. In fact, the missing posters later created used stills from a video taken by a neighbor due to the lack of photos of the children.
Parker discovered her name had been removed from their joint checking accounts and credit cards, and Vosseler had withdrawn thousands of dollars from accounts Parker didn’t even know existed.
Vosseler had even shut down Parker’s automatic payments from their checking account to her car loan, so that by the time of the abduction she was months behind on payments and her car was about to repossessed.
“I guess he thought if I was busy holding my own life together I couldn’t do much to find them,” Parker said. “He meticulously thought this out.”
Parker said she was panicked as she learned of the things her husband had done before leaving, realizing that he must have taken the kids without planning on bringing them back.
“Do I think he took them because he loves them? No,” she said. “He took them because they’re his, just like he took all of our other possessions; just like every nickel he ever made he knows where it went and he got the majority of it.”
Police and missing children organizations were involved in the abduction of the boys right away, but the initial investigations yielded no results.
“The reality of the times was that folks weren’t very sympathetic,” Parker said. “It took me five months and a New Hampshire state senator to get the FBI involved.”
By 1987, the FBI had a federal warrant out for Vosseler’s arrest.
And while the FBI, local investigators, private investigators and missing children organizations have been working to find Vosseler and the boys ever since, there has been no known contact with them by law enforcement.
The last 25 years
Despite this lack of contact with Vosseler since disappearing, there have been numerous sightings of the man, some more promising than others, Curtis said.
Curtis first became involved with the case in 1988, when his wife, who worked with Parker at the time, suggested he work on the investigation.
He spent much of the next few years speaking with Vosseler’s family and friends, sometimes traveling across the country to track down anyone who might know Vosseler’s whereabouts.
He also started conducting surveillance on members of his family, but said the interviews and surveillance were not successful.
A break in the case came in 1989, however, when Curtis said he got a call from an organization called Child Find, who received a tip that Vosseler was living in Stillwell, Okla. The organization said they got a tip from a woman claiming to be Vosseler’s girlfriend who had seen a missing poster of the children and Vosseler and was certain that her boyfriend was the man they were looking for.
The FBI was contacted, and agents went to the house nine days later — a delay that Curtis and Parker said they believe may have cost them finding the children.
When authorities arrived at Vosseler’s reported home in Stillwell, they found the house and car burned to the ground and no one in sight.
Curtis said investigators still don’t know how Vosseler was tipped off, but said that soon after the incident a note was found in a P.O. box rented to him that read, “The feds are coming.”
“This case has been riddled with weird things like that,” Curtis said. “How would he know that, unless he used eavesdropping or has connections?”
As the years went by, there were a number of other possible leads, Curtis said, but none of them proved to be Vosseler. The attention paid to the case, both by the FBI, local authorities, and Curtis himself also dwindled until very recently, Curtis said.
It was in 2006 when Curtis began thinking about the case again and Googled it to see if it had ever been resolved. After learning that Vosseler and the children, who would now be in their late 20s, were still missing, Curtis tracked down Parker and told her he wanted to start working on the case again.
“A lot more has happened because of [Curtis'] involvement,” Parker said. “As far as I’m concerned, he’s top drawer.”
Never stop looking
Around the same time Curtis became involved in the case again, Rochester police and the FBI were also increasing their attention to the case.
Rochester police Sgt. Anthony Deluca has been working with the FBI on the Vosseler case since about four years ago.
Deluca said Thursday it was a call from a missing children organization checking to see if C.J. and William Vosseler had ever been found that got him involved in the case.
After that call, Deluca said he began to look into the case, and ended up converting all of the files involved into the department’s new computer system, scanned in all the reports, and began to work with the FBI on the investigation again.
Deluca said his current role in the case is to simply look at it with new eyes, doing research and following up on old leads.
While he said this task is difficult, he has been trying to gain the case more publicity, even trying to get it featured on America’s Most Wanted.
“The more people revisit these cases, the easier it is to solve,” Deluca said.
Curtis is also working with the police and FBI, reacquainting himself with previous leads and, like Deluca, following up on any promising ones.
With more technology this time around, Curtis said he has been able to find some promising leads, saying that through the utilization of databases, he has found more family and other connections of Vosseler’s he didn’t know about when first investigating the abduction.
According to the FBI’s Supervisory Special Agent for New Hampshire Kieran Ramsey, the agency is also still actively investigating the case.
Agents have been pursuing new leads in the abduction as recently as this year, Ramsey said. And while he could not give many details on the investigation, he said
recent leads have come out of the western and southeastern U.S.
Ramsey said the agency, like others involved, is focusing much of its time getting information about the crime and those involved out to the public, and said that solving abduction cases this old is not unheard of.
“Recently we’ve had some successful reunifications of children who were taken by an unlawful parent, and it’s largely because of continued publicity,” Ramsey said.
Curtis agreed, and said he believes there’s someone out there who knows where Vosseler is.
“I hope that if there are people who know anything, they’ll realize that this is a huge injustice and that they would share the information with the authorities,” Curtis said, saying that he’s confident Vosseler, and hopefully the boys, will be found.
For Parker, holding out hope is the only option, saying it’s the only thing that has kept her going the past 25 years.
Parker said she made a choice to hold herself together throughout this ordeal, a choice that was first made only days after her sons went missing and she was on the verge of losing her job due to absence.
“I went back to work and pasted a smile on my face by looking in the mirror and telling myself that I didn’t have a choice,” she said. “I couldn’t flip out, or go crazy and not come back … that was the first of many conversations I’ve had with myself about how you cannot give in to what you really want to feel.”
Parker said her biggest hope is that her sons are found. While she said she’d love to have a relationship with them one day, knowing that they are alive and well would be enough.
“I hope that they know I didn’t leave them and I hope that they know that I’m alive,” she said. “Do I believe there are happy endings in life? I sure do. Do I http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifbelieve there’s justice? Yep. You can’t survive if you don’t have some hope.”
The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the location of Vosseler or his two sons.
Vosseler has an eye condition in his left eye that causes him to often turn his head to the right side, Parker said.

Lewis County officials are looking for a 3-year-old girl who was last seen Saturday, 9/24/2011, morning at her home near Weston.

According to Sgt. Mike Posey of the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, the little girl was wearing purple "Dora the Explorer" pajamas and a pink princess sweatshirt and no shoes.
The child, Aliayah Lunsford, age 3, is approximately 3 feet tall and weighs about 35 pounds. She has shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. She also is missing her top four front teeth.
K-9 units from both Lumberport and the South Charleston State Police Detachment combed the area for any sign of the 3-year-old, and police say one dog lead them down the street and near the banks of the West Fork River.

A professional dive team was called in and searched the water for hours. The crew ceased searching around 11 p.m. Saturday evening, and will resume Sunday, 9/25/2011, morning.
She was last seen at her home in the Bendale community at 6:30 a.m.

Katherine Shelbie-Elizabeth Phillips, age 4 months, is missing. She was abducted from her mother's apartment. An Amber Alert was called. Her father Sean Phillips has since been arrested for kidnapping "Baby Kate" and he has not disclosed her location. Her clothing, pink shorts and a pink tank top with black and pink flowers, was found in his pockets and her car seat in his vehicle. He was in the National Guard and just received deployment papers for Afghanistan a few days ago. The infant's mother was allowed to speak with him in an attempt to get him to say where Kate is. Family members said that while he did not give the location of the missing infant, he did nod his head "yes" when asked if she was still alive. They do not know if the deployment has anything to do with Katherine's disappearance.

LONDONDERRY — Two days after 11-year-old Celina Cass went missing last month, Cynthia Caron hunkered down at her desk, making endless phone calls and posting Internet announcements on countless websites, blogs and online forums.

The Londonderry resident and founder of LostNMissing, a charity dedicated to assisting families and law enforcement professionals in locating missing adults and children all over the country, remained in contact with state police as the search for Cass continued, a search that ended in tragedy on Aug. 1 when the young girl’s remains were discovered in the Connecticut River.

Caron had hoped to help enlist the services of Maine’s VK9 Scent Specific Search and Recovery Unit, having had much success in the past working with Quincy, a yellow Labrador retriever trained in “aged” scent-specific detection.

Though Quincy wasn’t used in the Cass case, Caron, who serves as state advocate for National Missing and Unidentified Persons system (NAMUS), said she believes the girl may have been found sooner had VK9 services been activated.

“Celina’s case was very complicated,” Caron said this week. “But I’m confident that dog would have found Celina right off the bat.”

With an estimated 2,000 people reported missing in the United States each day, Caron and her team of 27 volunteers have been kept quite busy in recent years, assisting in many cases that have gained both national and international attention.

But her charity certainly had humble beginnings. Caron, the daughter of a police chief, said the idea began with a trip to the local Walmart.

The mother of three, whose middle child has special needs, said she noticed a huge wall plastered with posters of missing children. The fact that most of the shoppers appeared completely oblivious to those signs hit a poignant note with Caron, whose son often wandered off when he was little.

Soon after, she learned that a friend’s husband had a daughter from a previous relationship who disappeared at age 13 in her home state of Florida. After learning that Florida authorities had waited three days to file a missing person report, Caron knew she wanted to help.

“I made an online notice and posted it,” Caron recalled. Within days, the Ohio native was flooded with emails, many of them heartfelt pleas from distraught family members hoping for help in locating other lost loved ones.

“It just kept snowballing. I learned about all the obstacles these people faced, the challenges they encountered in working with the media and with police,” Caron said.

These days, Caron and her team interact on a daily basis with law enforcement and a number of families across the nation seeking their help in locating their missing family members.

“There’s a uniqueness to every single missing person case,” Caron said. “Even if that person voluntarily walked away, they have a family that misses them, that wants answers.”

Citizen-based organizations such as LostNMissing play a vital role in assisting police departments in solving such cases, Londonderry Police Chief Bill Hart said this week.

“As with all citizen-based organizations, particularly here in Londonderry, we always hope to partner with them in working towards their goals,” Hart said. “Our goal is to be as supportive as we can in fulfilling both our missions — the mission of locating lost children and adults.”

LostNMissing typically works on around 300 missing person cases each year, organizing candlelight vigils, placing posters and contracting for Search and Rescue when needed. Caron, who still has her day job in pharmaceutical sales, said her organization’s website is updated several times each day “Working directly with families allows us to free up the police detectives so they can do what they need to do,” Caron said. With that in mind, families of the missing are encouraged to place their trust in the local law enforcement rather than trying to solve the cases themselves.

“We don’t ever advise families to be at a crime scene. They need to have faith in their detectives,” she said.

Recently, Caron was interviewed for an upcoming documentary on sex trafficking. The documentary will air on A&E in November.

In the documentary, Caron discusses her work with the family of former Maine resident Megan Waterman, 22, who disappeared in her home state in early 2010 and was later found deceased in New York, one of four victims of the Long Island Serial Killer.

“Megan was killed during her fourth trip to New York, a trip with her supposed boyfriend who was, in fact, a recruiter for sex trafficking,” Caron said.

With many missing persons cases having similarly tragic outcomes, Caron said she tries to remain strong for the sake of the grieving families.

“I focus my emotions, I think of the ones left behind,” she said. “Families never really get closure. If the person passes away, they still always wonder, ‘What if?’” Recently, LostNMissing gained national accolades, having been selected as a finalist in the Stay Classy Awards’ Best New Small Charity of the Year category.

The Londonderry organization is currently in 10th place out of 24 candidates, though Caron said she’s hoping to climb to first-place by the Aug. 26 contest deadline. The contest winner will receive $15,000, money Caron would use toward assisting families in their searches.

Dorothy Mae Heard, 74, has been missing since June 13, 2011. Her family and friends are extremely worried and ask the public if they have any information to please come forward. Mrs. Heard only left with her purse and all other belongings left at the home. Her vehicle has since been impounded. An adult nephew used her credit card and pawned her wedding ring the day she vanished, according to police reports. He has since been arrested and questioned.
On the day of her missing status, a family member talked to her on the phone about 8 a.m. on the morning of her disappearance, but she didn't answer when another call came in at 8:30 a.m. She was reported missing the next morning on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
Mrs. Heard is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. Family members said she has five adult children, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Bobby Smelcer, 52 has been missing since November 21, 2010 from Shelbyville, Tennessee.
His daughters and family are extremely numb as they search, pray and wait for word on what could have happened to their loving Bobby.
They ask if anyone has any information to please go or call the authorities or even mail an anonymous letter.
Upon discovering that Bobby was missing they found in his mobile home several small drops of blood on a pair of jeans with the seat ripped,
also his keys, wallet, jacket, cell phone and all clothing left in the home. Bobby is a mechanic by trade and has a large family of 7 brothers and sisters

Couple Missing With Suspicious Circumstances - Essex Vermont

Bill and Lorraine Currier of Essex, Vermont are missing. They were reported missing by friends and family after neither showed up for for work which was not in their character. Police believe the couple disappeared sometime between 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 and 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011.
Especially concerning is that both have serious medical conditions that requires medication which was left behind at their home.
When police checked on the couple, they found a broken window between the house and an attached garage and their
car missing. Their vehicle is a dark green Saturn sedan with the Vermont license plate ABF-818.
Police are stating they are missing under suspicious circumstances. Their family and friends are terribly worried and ask the
public to please look for them or their vehicle.

Spc. Joseph Bushling, 26, is missing. He left English Village to drive in the desert in his black 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sat. night, May 7th, 2011.
On Sunday, May 8, 2011, at about 7 p.m., he contacted a friend at Dugway stating that he had run out of gas and was going to walk back to the test area, according to a press release from Dugway Proving Ground. No contact with him has been made since that phone call. His last known location was west of Granite Mountain, which is about 35 miles west of Dugway*s main gate in Utah. There are no cell phone towers in his area and his cell battery has no charge. Fears are he is lost in the desert and searches have been conducted but aerial searches suspended due to weather.

1981 Unsolved Missing - Carolyn, 24 and Mark Martin, age 2 of Michigan

On August 31, 1981 Carolyn Martin, 24, and her 2 year old son Mark Martin left Hazel Park, Mi. to move to San Antonio, Texas. They left with Carolyn's boyfriend and father of her son, Harry Kzirian aka Hamparsohan Kirwzian. Both Carolyn and Mark have not been heard from since. When interviewed in April, 1982 Harry stated to police that Carolyn changed her mind enroute to Texas and that he dropped her and Mark off near Toledo, Ohio. Over the years, a handful of tips came in to police, but they never were able to find Carolyn or Mark Martin. Authorities now consider both Carolyn and Mark to be legally deceased, and foul play is suspected in their disappearance. Their families ask that anyone who has viable information leading to their recovery and any tips on what happened to them, would be very much appreciated. They are loved and missed and deserve to be brought home.

David Ristovski , 33 is missing. He was last heard from on March 09, 2011 when he called his fiancé after he ran out of gas on the 10 freeway in the Cochise County area of Arizona. Later that day, authorities found his abandoned vehicle on a back road.

Several days later on Mar. 11, he was sighted near a railroad track along the Arizona/New Mexico border. His wallet was located, but not David. David is the father of an 11-month-old son and may be in need of medication for a medical condition.

Relatives and police say they believe he flew home on Aug. 20, 2011 and called his parents, in Russia, to say he was home and well.
The next day, they believe that he may have driven to Vermont where his car was found near the entrance of the Appalachian Trail on Oct. 20, 2010. Vermont police said his car was found on Mad Tom Notch Road and they believed the car was there for several weeks.
It is believed that he had a pale peach tent, a bacpack and propane stove. He is 5'9" tall, weighs 176 lbs and athletic build.

Trevor Morse, 30 is missing. He worked as an electrician for a major contractor in Las Vegas, NV. It was there that he disappeared on Sunday, May 6, 2007, from an affluent, upscale neighborhood. Prior to his disappearance, he woke in the morning and wrote checks for his utility bills and did his laundry. He continued normally with his day until 3:00 p.m., when he called a local taxi service and requested a ride to the Red Rock Canyon area. Roughly 30 minutes later, the driver dropped Trevor off in the 3800 block of South Town Center Drive at West Flamingo. The taxi driver later said that Trevor had mentioned he was supposed to meet an acquaintance. Surveillance footage from a nearby shopping center showed Trevor pacing outside the building, but he eventually walked southwest, out of the camera's view, and disappeared. He has not been seen or heard from since. His family has been desperately searching for him ever since and ask if anyone has information to please come forward.

Hope Meek was 25 yrs old when she disappeared from her home on Section Line Rd., in Valliant , OK on 02/21/2002 under suspicious circumstances. None of her belongings were taken. Due to the length of time, and due to the fact that Hope would never have left her three children, her disappearance is suspect as foul play. Hope phoned her mother a few times each day and her sister the same. It is not in her character to not make contact. At the time of her missing status, she was working for the McCurtain County Sheriff's Office where she escorted inmates from their cells to court appearances. She was training to be a dispatcher. She was also in college and was soon to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Law. Hope's husband and three children were at home when police checked her house.

Wesley Wamsganz, 22, hasn't been seen since Nov. 20, 2010 when he left work at Lake Placid's Downtown Diner and started walking to the Adirondak Loj trailhead - without any food, water or outdoor gear, as far as searchers and his family know. Several hiking parties saw him in the High Peaks as darkness fell that evening; he was last seen at Marcy Dam, about 2 miles in. The family has been searching for Wesley and prayers are that he is alive and that perhaps he turned around and left the High Peaks Wilderness after going in. Search crews found an "article" that belongs to Wesley and his family and friends are very worried and ask the public to please help look for him.

Joey Lynn Offutt, 33 in 2007, is missing under suspicious circumstances. In the early morning on July 12, 2007, authorities responded to a fire at Joey's Sykesville, PA home. After the fire was extinguished, the remains of a baby, believed to be Joey's 6-week-old son, were discovered. Joey and her car, a red Saturn with Virginia license plates, were missing. Police located Joey's car four days later in State College, PA, parked at the Nittany Gardens apartment complex, where Joey had previously lived. Joey's other two children, who were not at home at the time of the fire, are safe living with family. Joey would never have gone missing on her own. Her family feels she may be deceased and prays for her return or for information.
They miss her very much and her daughters need their mother. The family is providing a reward of $20,000 leading to the return of Joey. She is described as, 5' 3" with a thin build, and she has brown eyes and brown hair (with a reddish tone). She may or may not be wearing glasses. Both photos to the left are Joey. Michael Brougham, 54, is missing. Nicknamed "Mickey" is from Belchertown, MA. His family is offering a $5,000 reward for information that will lead to finding him. Police say last Friday, June 24, 2010, Mickey left for Loudon, New Hampshire for a weekend of NASCAR racing. He hasn't been seen since. Police recovered his wallet outside Loudon Raceway early Sunday morning, on June 26, 2010. A dog search was conducted, as well. Mickey is a diabetic and recently had cardiac bypass surgery and doesn't have his medication with him. Additionally, his vehicles are still at his home which adds to the mystery as to how he got to the NH racetrack? His family is extremely worried and asks the public to please help look for him. It is not in his character to not contact his family or friends.

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WGGB) -- Saturday marks the one year anniversary in the disappearance of a Michael "Mickey" Brougham.

Saturday morning Mickey's sisters Cindy Brown and Carla Chaisson hung blue ribbons on the Belchertown Common to show they will never stop looking for their beloved brother.

"It's a difficult day. It's a day that marks for us a year of not knowing. We thought a year ago we would have some answers by now," said Cindy Brown.

"You're able to move forward with acceptance. This is a reality somebody you love is important and special to you has been taken from you and you have to now move forward in a positive way," said Carla Chaisson.

The 54 year old Mickey was last seen June 25, 2010 in Belchertown. His wallet and cell phone were found days later 2 1/2 hours north near the Nascar race track in Loudon, New Hampshire.

Searches that took place both in New Hampshire and Belchertown came up with nothing.

"The more time goes on we realize that something really bad has happened. We need to close this and need help finding his body and bring him home," said Brown.

The Northwestern DA's Office continues to investigate. And on this anniversary the family hopes someone will have a fresh tip or recognize a scorpion pendant they said Mickey always wore.

"This pendant is unaccounted for and we believe it was with Mickey when it went missing. Logic tells us someone has acquired this pendant," said Chaisson.

The two sisters said just up and leaving is something Mickey would never do. He was close with his family and a well known guy around town.

"Everyone knew Mickey so everyone has this same sense of loss," said Brown.

"He was a lot of fun. Many people said to us he would light up a room with his smile. He was the life of the party," said Chaisson.

Saturday night the family asked people to leave a porch or window light on to show support and raise awareness about Mickey's disappearance.

I certainly never would have thought that I would be sending out a message one year after Kelley’s disappearance saying we still don’t know where she is or what happened to her but here we are. One year ago today Kelley got up, got dressed and went to work. She had a phone conversation with her Mom around noon and has not been seen or heard from since. It has been a year of constant worry and concern for Kelley’s family and her friends, mixed with frustration at the lack of information, and hope that with a little patience we will find the answers eventually. Please know that your postings on the group page are all read and it is very meaningful and comforting to everyone who misses her still.

I would like to thank you all for standing with us in your support for finding Kelley. When this group started it was 7 members of Kelley’s old friends from school, now we are 4800+ members strong and we still need your prayers. We know and have faith in the fact that no amount of time will make us give up. It is never too late for someone to come forward, or for the police to find evidence or for a miracle to happen.

It was 18 months to the day that an arrest was made in the Nadia Kersh case in Homewood, AL. Nadia’s family has been very supportive of the Henderson family as they shared in their dark hours. We pray that the arrest will lead them to bringing Nadia’s body home to rest in peace. The body of Melody Jackson was found after having been missing for 4 months so for all who question how long will we keep posting on Kelley’s group page… I answer as long as it takes. Beth Bentley 41 MISSING from Illinois May 23 2010

Beth Bentley, 41, is missing. She is a mother of three sons and married. According to a friend, Beth traveled by Amtrak train to Centralia, IL on May 21, 2010 with a friend to visit other friends and was scheduled to return home, alone, the following Sunday night. The friend, who intended to stay an additional day, dropped her off at the Centralia train station to catch a 6:08 p.m. train to Union Station in Chicago. It is unclear if Beth got on the train at that station, which is not manned by security guards or equipped with cameras.

She was scheduled to arrive at Union Station around 10 p.m. and then to take a Metra train to arrive in Woodstock, IL. (Her home) She has not been seen since. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, blue denim miniskirt and carrying a pink and orange overnight Vera Bradley bag. She is described as described as a 5'6", 160 lbs. white woman with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Beth always uses her cell phone and text messaging and nobody has received any word. It is not in her character to just disappear. Family and friends are devastated and worried. MISSING SINCE OCTOBER 27, 2008 - HAVE YOU SEEN CERILLA OR HAVE INFO?

Cerilla Doyle, is missing. She has not been seen since October 27, 2008. She was last seen at her home that morning by her daughter who said she told her she had some errands to run. When her daughter returned home from her job later in the evening, she found her mother's identification, cell phone, vehicle and all other personal property had been left behind. Nobody has seen Cerilla since and her family has been desperately searching for her. Initially the police felt she may have been abducted but evidence on her computer
indicated she may have taken a bus to Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, nothing has been confirmed to state that she indeed boarded a bus.
Cerilla has a concealed carry permit and was a former police officer, and was second in command for The Pea Ridge Arkansas Police. Her husband passed away in February 2008 after a lengthy illness. In September 2010, Cerilla will be 53 years old. She is 5'3", weighs 197 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes.

Mother Missing From Rensselaer , NY Ashley Marie Carroll, 24

Ashley Marie Carroll, 24, is missing. She is a mom of a one year old daughter and would not up and leave her child, or family. She reportedly disappeared after "a falling out"
with her boyfriend, Jermon McLean of Albany, on May 6, 2010 according to police reports. Her boyfriend told police that she was intending to travel to NYC to see a friend, but the friend has not seen her and no records to show if she made it to NYC.

Ashley has a big red rose and the name "Arioniah" tattooed on her right arm. Paw Prints, The name "Steve" is tattooed on her left hand and neck. Her right foot has a tattoo of rosary beads with a cross and the name "Maria." There is a tribal tattoo on her lower back and a cub tattoo on her calf. A tattoo on her wrist reads, "What goes around comes around." She is described as 5-foot-5, weighs about 140 pounds, hazel eyes, long brown hair and olive skin.

ALBANY — “Gone But Not Forgotten.”

That was the message printed on t-shirts worn by members of a search party Sunday, organized by the family of a Troy woman who’s been missing since May.

Dozens of people gathered in Tivoli Park to help Ashley Marie Carroll’s family and friends search for clues to her disappearance, determined to both find answers and to make sure that Carroll would indeed never be forgotten.

Carroll, 24, was supposed to have left for a weekend trip to visit friends in New York City on May 6, but instead was last seen in Arbor Hill, near First and Quail streets. She was in the area to meet up with her boyfriend, James McLean of Albany, with whom relatives say she had been fighting.

She never made it to New York.

In her absence, relatives and friends are left with more questions than answers, along with sadness and confusion.

Carroll has a 2-year-old daughter, and close family friend Francecsa Hempstead said Carroll would never abandon her baby.

“She’s a good mom,” Hempstead said. “I could never imagine her leaving Arionnah like that. Ashley was always there for her family in any time of need, and she always made sure the baby had what she needed.”

Hempstead’s mother, Kyla LaMountain, who said she’s known Carroll “since she was in the womb,” also spoke about Carroll’s dependability and kindness.

LaMountain lost her young daughter to illness when Carroll was a teenager, and Carroll stayed by her side throughout the whole ordeal.

“She never left me, and she was there with me and my daughter up until she passed away,” LaMountain said. “She would never just have up and left for no reason. That’s obviously why we’re here looking. We think something terribly went wrong.”

Caroll’s mother, Margaret Carroll, said she organized the search in order to turn up clues and leads, and find out anything about her daughter’s whereabouts. The investigation has been short on answers, she said, and getting the word out about her daughter’s disappearance may help the family finally learn what happened to Ashley.

Those joining the search party Sunday signed a registry and were split into smaller groups, which fanned out across Tivoli Park’s 80 acres armed with shovels, rakes and walkie-talkies. Det. John Coleman, of the Albany Police Department, addressed the group before it dispersed, describing what Ashley was last seen wearing — white pajama pants, a black shirt and white flip-flops — and instructing searchers to call him immediately if they found any potential clues.

“We’re checking every single thing we can, following anything we can,” Coleman said.

But some in the search party don’t think police have been doing enough.

A woman, who identified herself only as Mindy, said she joined the search party to support the family, and expressed frustration with the investigation.

“Nothing’s really been done,” she said. “If she was a college student that went missing from SUNY, it’d be a different story. But she’s not.”

Margaret Carroll and LaMoutain also said they believe there are people with information about Ashley’s disappearance that refuse to come forward. Both women alluded to a close friend of Ashley’s who has since cut off contact with the family, hired a lawyer and stopped answering questions about the night she went missing.

“She’s got a baby, she’s got a mother that misses her,” LaMountain said. “Her mother probably can’t even sleep at night wondering what happened to her daughter. I mean, how do you do that to a family? I don’t understand.”

Janet Gail Henry 36 Unsolved Missing from 1997 Vancouver, BC

Janet Gail Henry, 36, went missing June 25, 1997. She graduated from high school and attended hairdressing school. She got married and had a daughter, to whom she was devoted. However, when her marriage broke up in the late 1980s, her husband gained custody of their daughter. Janet was devastated. She eventually ended up living in Vancouver*s Downtown Eastside, a low income neighbourhood known for drug and became a victim of street level sex trades. She communicated with her family all the time while they feared for her safety due to a recent rash of murders. The phone calls stopped. Fearing the worst, her family searched streets for Janet and has never been able to locate her. It is suspect that she may have been a victim of a serial killer, however, her body has never been located. Charges were made against Robert Pickton, the owner of a farm, for the murder of 15 women who had gone missing from the Downtown Eastside, the vast majority of which were women who went missing after 1997. For 13 years her family has prayed for information on what may have happened to Janet. Family members continue to hope that their sister is still alive, however they are losing hope. They know if she was ok that she would contact them. They ask the public to please come forward should they have any information.

MISSING Kyla Porter, 19 from Holiday, FL since 2008

Kyla Porter, 19, is missing. She is now 20 years old and her family is desperate to find her or information as to what happened. At the time of her disappearance she made a call to her sister stating she was on her way home. Kyla was never heard from again. It is unknown where she was at the time of the call. Her family asks the public to please help with any information possible. They are heartbroken and have been searching for Kyla continually over the years.

Kyla is 5'4" and weighs 125 pounds. She has a beautiful smile with straight teeth. Kyla loves stars and she has two very clear tattoo's of a star on each upper portion of her chest. She also has a tattoo on her back. It's possible that Kyla has been met with foul play, or she could be wandering the streets in an unknown state. Where is Patrick Alford? Age 7 MISSING since 2010 #NY

MISSING SINCE JANUARY 22, 2010

Patrick Alford 7, is missing. He recently moved in with new foster parents and disappeared from his Spring Creek Development home in Starrett City, N.Y. He threatened several times to run away from his new home in order to find his biological mother. On Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, Patrick helped his foster mother take out the trash and disappeared while assisting with the chores. Police believed he has been hiding with adult assistance; possibly his biological mother. However, it's also possible he did run away or has been abducted. One thing is certain, this young child is missing and needs to be found.

Patrick is described as 4-foot-8 and 65 pounds, with a scar on his left eyebrow. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and black Michael Jordan sneakers. Alford is biracial, African American and Hispanic.

Julie Ann Gonzalez, 21, the mother of a 2-year-old daughter, disappeared without a trace last seen in Austin, TX. Now, her family is pleading for help. Julie was supposed to pick-up her 2-year-old daughter from her estranged husband for her custodial weekend. She showed up, but did not take her daughter with her. Police reports state that her estranged husband said that Julie told him she had to get away for a few days and asked if he would watch their child for the weekend. She hasn't been seen since. She is 5 feet tall and 140 lbs.
Julie, a fulltime Pharmacy Technician and single mom, is described as very responsible and would not just disappear and not make contact with her mother, sister, family, friends and certainly would be there for her little girl. Posts showing up on her MySpace seemed "forced" for appearances and not in the same manner of posting, or writings, by Julie.

Earl "Bubba" Kidder, Jr, 39, is missing. He went fishing with two friends on March 28, 2010 and phoned saying the fishing was going well. However, he never showed up the next morning to attend with his ill mom to a physician appointment. He has not been seen since. His family, children and friends are extremely worried.
His sister sister says he was picked up by a friend for a weekend fishing trip in the Sherburne Wildlife Management Area.
The car his friend picked him up in, was found extensively burned in Sherburne by Wildlife and Fisheries agents. We're told detectives spent the day questioning the two people who were fishing with Bubba before he vanished.
The missing man's fishing companions state that they have no idea what happened to him. Bubba is 6'2" tall, weighing about 195 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He has a dimpled chin and a large scar on his right arm near his elbow.

Michael Austin Davis, 26 is missing. He usually goes by the name of "Austin" by his family and friends. He was last seen with his duffle bag and leaving a pawn shop in which he purchased a shotgun and began walking at the intersection of 103rd Street and Blanding Blvd at approx. 12:30pm, June 26, 2007, in Jacksonville, FL. The barrel of the shotgun was protruding from his duffel bag if that helps anyone to jog their memory. Fears are that he may have wanted to take his life as he was going through a rough time and was depressed, however, he was very anti-guns and had a lot of things he was looking forward to so his family is completely baffled as to why he purchased a gun.
Was he in fear of someone? Michael would be 29 years old in 2010. If he took his life, why hasn't his body been found with the ground search efforts?
The family is seeking anyone who may have seen Austin walking, or who may have given him a ride, to please come forward. The area also includes Wesconnett Blvd., Timuquana Road, Jammes, and surrounding areas. He may have been walking in any direction, and may have been seen on side roads up to several miles away from the intersection. All of his personal possessions were left behind, and no activity on his bank account or cell phone. Jamie Fraley, 22, is missing. She went missing sometime after midnight on April 8, 2008 from her apartment building on Lowell Bethesda Rd. in Gastonia, N.C.

Police say Jamie, a student at Gaston College, wasn*t feeling well the day she disappeared and went to the emergency room complaining of pain in her abdomen. Jamie also suffered from bipolar and anxiety. She had to obtain rides as she did not possess a drivers license. Jamie made a couple trips to the ER that day and back home again due to the long wait at the hospital. The last she was heard from was around midnight when she spoke with her mom stating she was home from the ER and now wanted to go back to the hospital. She then spoke with a friend who heard her say "I have to go, my ride is here. He is here." That was the last she was heard or seen of.

Jamie's keys were found locked inside her home and her wallet and all of her possessions were also inside. A utility worker found her cell phone on the side of the road three miles from her home.
Jamie is 4'9" tall and about 90 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes.

PART ONE- Favorite Son

Everything is going according to plan for 31-year-old Billy Smolinski. In a seemingly great relationship with an older woman, a first-time homeowner, and surrounded by adoring family and friends, life is good for the 6-ft., 200 lb. young man. Even his recent job loss in the heating and air conditioning business can't break his spirit — plans to renovate his home and part-time work towing cars and mowing lawns keeps Billy on track. Then, what should have been a romantic getaway with girlfriend, Madeleine Gleason, turns sour and the good times come to a crashing halt. Billy finds out Madeleine has been secretly seeing a married man and owner of a school bus company in neighboring Woodbridge. Billy is furious and the two break up.

The following day, Billy visits his sister, Paula Bell, to tell her about the split and that Madeleine Gleason was seeing someone else on the side. Later, unable to calm down, Billy goes to Gleason's house and climbs a ladder up to his ex's bedroom window at 4 AM. He eventually goes home. Hours pass. Still raging, Billy calls his rival and leaves a threatening message on his answering machine, telling him to watch his back. A dated receipt later found in Billy's trashcan proves he then goes out for some fast food and returns home. He leaves his house one more time, to visit a neighbor. According to the neighbor, Billy asks him to look in on his beloved German shepherd, Harley, while he's up north for a few days looking at a car he's interested in buying. Billy Smolinski is never seen again.
PART TWO- FAVORITE SON

When the neighbor goes to check on Harley, the house is locked and Billy's white pickup is still in the driveway. There is no sign of Billy anywhere. Police later find his keys and wallet tucked under the front seat of his truck. Anyone who knows Billy agrees that he would never have left his dog unattended in the house. Equally unusual, he hadn't shared his travel plans with anyone other than his neighbor — not even his sister who he had seen the night before.

The search for Billy and the ensuing investigation prove to be even more complicated than the circumstances prior to his disappearance. Billy's parents become frustrated by the pace of the investigation and hire a private investigator, who files for all police records under the Freedom of Information Act. When sifting through documents, they are astounded to learn a specific tip had been called in to Crime Stoppers in relation to the case. The informant alleged that Billy was strangled to death by Gleason's drug addicted son, a former grave digger, after a dispute. Before police get a chance to question him, Gleason's son dies of a drug overdose.

Part THREE - Favorite Son

As the Smolinski's search for Billy becomes desperate, family and friends hang posters everywhere offering a reward. But as quickly as they go up, someone is ripping the posters down and, on occasion, defacing them with the words, "Who cares." Stunned, Billy's sister Paula and her aunt and uncle set out with a camera to try and catch the vandal in action. They are shocked by what they discover. Although she vehemently denies it, they are convinced that the woman caught on camera is none other than Billy's ex, Madeleine Gleason. Soon after, Billy's mother Jan is arrested for trespassing on private property while hanging missing posters.

In 2006, baffled Waterbury police ask the FBI for assistance. Several leads — including one that Smolinski was killed and buried under a driveway in Shelton — turn what was a cold case, into a hot investigation. Following another promising lead, police begin a massive dig on property in the nearby town of Seymour in the hopes of recovering Billy's remains. They also take Billy's pickup truck back into the lab for another forensic search. Law enforcement still hopes to finally deliver the answers to a baffled family and community as to how and why Billy Smolinski disappeared without a trace.

On Aug. 23 2008, Mike Hearon, 51, in khaki cargo shorts, a faded red T-shirt and sandals, rode his green four-wheel-drive vehicle on Bell Branch Road, in the Happy Valley Community of Blount County.

He has not been seen since. It is one of the most perplexing mysteries the Blount County Sheriff's Office has ever faced.

"I've never seen such a high-profile a case with so few clues," Sheriff Jim Berrong said.

Hearon's parents, Verl Hearon, 79, and Sue Hearon, 74, his sons, Matt, 25, and Andy, 27, and other family members and friends continue to search the area, to no avail. Once, Verl and Sue Hearon even walked all the way to Chilhowee Mountain.

"It has been a miserable year," Verl Hearon said. "I've looked in every hole and cave in Happy Valley. No sign anywhere."

"It's like a nightmare, but one that when you wake up, it is still happening for real," Sue Hearon said. "But we won't give up."

"We sure need some kind of closure on this," Verl Hearon said.

Mysteries of the missing is a series looking at the nature of missing-persons cases as well as specific disappearances that have baffled authorities and families through the decades. Read more stories.

There is no evidence of foul play, but circumstances of the case contain strong hints of it. Any evidence around the area where his ATV was later found would have been washed away by heavy rain the night before.

Pledges for a reward have reached $35,000, and more were made Sunday at an event the Hearon family hosted to keep the case alive in the public's eye. About 200 people came to Smithview Pavillion for the event. It had more of the bittersweet feel of a memorial service than a public-awareness event.

Through a slide presentation and home movies, Hearon's life flickered before the eyes of those gathered. Some of those eyes had tears in them.

Hearon was a vibrant man with a bright, strong smile, and unruly shock of thick dark hair. Most of the images showed him playing and clowning with family and friends, or frolicking with pets.

Detective Mike Seratt, lead investigator in the case, said he has turned up nothing to contradict the family's assertion that Mike Hearon had no known enemies.

Hearon had a condo in Maryville to be near his contracting business, but spent weekends at the 100-acre family homestead on Bell Branch Road, adjoining the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

On the day he was last seen, he had driven his truck there, hauling a mower and weedeater, to the homestead to mow grass. Shortly thereafter, neighbors saw him on Bell Branch Road on the ATV.

He was headed away from the homestead. But no one knows why. "That may be the key to the lock," Berrong said.

When Hearon's sons went to the property two days later, they found the grass uncut, the truck windows rolled down, and their dad's money clip and keys in the truck.

Authorities were called and an extensive search was launched. The next day, a family friend found Hearon's ATV about a mile away, in a secluded spot near an unoccupied vacation cabin. It was in high gear, and the ignition switch was on. It had been turned off using a kill switch instead of the ignition, according to Berrong and family members.

"He always used the ignition switch to turn it off, never the kill switch," said Matt Hearon. "So we don't think he's the one who put it there. And we don't think he got lost. He lived around there all of his life and knew all of the trails."

Matt said his dad could have taken the ATV to check on some nearby property he was looking after for someone else and unexpectedly encountered someone or something there or along the way.

"If he saw someone breaking into a house, or trespassing, he would not have hesitated to confront them," Matt Hearon said. "He was strong man, tough as nails, and he wasn't afraid of anything."

Verl Hearon said he thinks his son could have been set up for something by being lured to a meeting. "Or it could be something as simple as someone wanted to rob him for drug money," Sue Hearon said.

Berrong and Seratt said there is no evidence that Mike Hearon was involved in anything illegal. Berrong said several officers have interviewed family, friends and neighbors, checked out many tips and rumors, and poured over Hearon's business records and bank accounts.

"We know everything there is to know about Mike Hearon - except where he is," Berrong said.
