An El Paso area family is desperately searching for 84-year-old William James Dumas who has been missing since he went to a local Sonic Drive-In on Alameda Friday afternoon.

According to police, Dumas left his home in the 200 block of Ben Swain in the Lower Valley on Friday around 5:30 p.m. in his Grey 2003 Buick Regal with Texas license places BJM2880 to a Sonic at Alameda and Delta. He was wearing a green jacket, light blue dress pants and black shoes. He was also wearing classes and a white baseball cap. He is approximately 5-foot-10-inches tall, weighing 165 pounds with white hair.

Dumas is known to frequent a cemetery in Fabens. His family tells NewsChannel 9 that he used to drive long distances for work and may be reverting to those habits. If you see anyone matching the description of Dumas or his vehicle you are asked to call El Paso Police 832-4400.
