[Missing: Eugene Vibar, 33 - Portland, OREGON]
A Portland man went missing in the early morning hours after Halloween and his family and friends are organizing a search effort to try and find him.
Eugene Vibar, 33, was last seen around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 1 near Southeast 19th Avenue and Stark Street, according to a flier shared by his loved ones.
"Eugene was last seen leaving his home to go for a walk," said his friend Amanda Rain in a press release. "He was in jeans and a bright blue jacket. No one has heard from him since."
Rain said Vibar's family and friends are especially worried because the only things missing from his room were his jacket, wallet and cell phone. He left his phone charger and backpack in a friend's car, and never responded to texts after 11:39 p.m. on Oct. 31.
According to Rain, police have classified Vibar's disappearance as voluntary and the understaffed department has been slow to respond. Eugene is an active volunteer and consistently shows up for work, and she doesn't believe he would voluntarily leave.
"Eugene is loved and missed by many," she said.
Volunteers are posting fliers and searching parks and rivers for Vibar. Anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts can call 310-882-1156 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
