Silver Alert: Henry Jackson Miller, 69 Eden, NORTH CAROLINA (dementia - went hitchhiking on foot to Shreveport, Louisiana)

A Silver Alert has been issued for a 69-year-old man from Rockingham County who went missing after hitch-hiking earlier this month.

Deputies said Henry Jackson Miller left his Eden home at about 5 p.m. Oct. 7 and went hitch-hiking on foot to Shreveport, Louisiana.

Miller's family reported him missing on Oct. 17. Deputies said he suffers from dementia.

Miller is described as a white male, 69, 5'10" and about 125 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. 

He was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt, green work pants and penny loafers with no socks, according to deputies.
