Police are asking for help finding a 73-year-old Aurora man who suffers from dementia and has been reported missing.
Noel Acosta, of the 400 block of Rosewood Avenue, was last seen by his family around 10 a.m. Thursday after he left his home to go for a walk.
State police troopers picked up Acosta around midnight when they found him walking in the area of Interstate 94 and 87th Street in Chicago, police said.
The trooper took Noel to the CTA Red Line Station. Before dropping Acosta off, the trooper ran the his information through a nationwide database but Aurora police had not yet completed the missing persons report.
Acosta is believed to have boarded a northbound train from the 87th Street/I-94 station.
Police said Acosta is Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds with short, gray hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
