The family of a missing Prichard man will be holding a prayer vigil for his safe return Monday night.
Family members say 39 year-old Vernon Cox was last seen September 17.
They have contacted police and tell FOX10 News, it is not normal for him to not contact them after being gone so long.
Family and friends have been searching the Whistler neighborhood where he was last seen as well as the area surrounding his mother's home on Falls Avenue.
They say a search group from Klass Kids organization arrived Saturday to help locate him.
Monday evening at 7:00 p.m., family and friends will gather for a prayer vigil at his mother, Juanita Cox's, home on Falls Avenue.
Cox was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt with a yellow smiley face.
