#MISSING: Antonio Martins, 24 - Houston, TEXAS

Texas Equusearch sent more than 50 volunteers to scour a five to six-mile area in League City on Sunday, looking for a 24-year-old man who has been missing since Thursday.

"We are fearing the worst,"  Tim Miller of Texas Equusearch said.

Crews gathered at the Texas Equusearch office about 7:30 a.m. to start their search for Antonio Martins, 24, who vanished Thursday. His white Chevy pickup was found at the intersection of Carefree Drive and Candlewood Drive in League City.

Martins, who is engaged to be married and has an 11-month-old daughter, is a  black man with black hair and brown eyes. He has freckles on his face, tattoos on his arms and shoulder-length dreadlocks. He is about 6 feet 3 inches and 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a white T-shirt and aqua-colored Jordan shoes.

He told his family about 11:30 p.m. Thursday that he was going to meet a man. No one has heard from him since.

Members of Texas Equusearch as well as Martins' family fear he may have been abducted, or worse.

"There are no words, no words to describe what I'm feeling. He is my soul, he is part of my soul. I need him back," his mother, Marlowe Martins-Francis, said.

Anyone with information on Martins whereabouts is asked to call Houston police at 713-731-5223 or Texas Equusearch at 281-309-9500.
