#MISSING: Joseph William Garcia, 42 - Seymour, TEXAS (SUV found abandoned on U.S. Highway 277 - last seen July 2nd when he dropped off a friend at the Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport)

A Baylor County man has mysteriously gone missing and police say leads in the case are scant.

Joseph William Garcia, 42, was last seen July 2 when he dropped a friend off at the D/FW airport, said Samantha Sturgeon, records clerk at the Seymour Police Department. Three days later, his SUV was found abandoned on U.S. Highway 277 in Taylor County, about two hours southwest of Wichita Falls.

Sturgeon said no "obvious indicator of foul play" was detected when the white 1997 Ford Expedition was found.

Garcia's family filed a missing person report with Seymour PD on July 10, and in the week since investigators have turned up few leads.

"There's not a whole lot of information," Sturgeon said. "At this point, all we know is he's missing."

Garcia moved from Utah to Baylor County to work on wind turbines. He is 5'11", 220 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He most recently wore a goatee and generally wears a pair of black sunglasses.

Anyone with information on Garcia's whereabouts is urged to call the Seymour Police Department at 940-889-8888 or the Baylor County Sheriff's Office at 940-889-3333.
