ENDANGERED #MISSING: Daniel Yohnke, 64 - Elgin Township, ILLINOIS (has distinctive shuffle when he walks)

Deputies from the Kane County Sheriff's Office are seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing endangered 64-year-old man.

Daniel Yohnke was reported missing by his wife early this morning, having walked away from the family home on Peppertree Lane in Elgin Township, according to a news release. The release indicated that Yohnke has attempted suicide in the past. He is believed to be on foot somewhere in the still in the immediate Elgin Township area.

Anyone with information on Yohnke's whereabouts should call 911.

Sheriff's deputies and K9 units have searched the area, but they have been unable to locate him, the release states. The Kane County Office of Emergency Management is responding to the area to help with the search.

Yohnke is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and a surgical walking shoe on his left foot, the release stated. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and grey boxer shorts. He has a distinctive shuffle when we walks, the release stated.
