West Linn police on Friday night asked the public to help find a missing 66-year-old man.
About 3 p.m., Mickiel Witt was dropped off at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center for a scheduled doctor's appointment, police said. At 3:45 p.m., when the driver returned, Witt was reportedly nowhere to be found.
Security video at the hospital showed Witt, who suffers from dementia and diabetes, leaving at about the time the driver was supposed to pick him up. Mr. Witt had jokingly told the driver earlier not to pick him up because he was "going to the coast," police said.
He is 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, with curly brown hair, brown eyes, a mustache and eyeglasses. He was last seen wearing a tan Columbia Sportswear jacket, brown plaid shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes.
Anyone who sees Witt should call 9-1-1, police said.
Anyone with non-emergency information about Witt is asked to call 503-635-0238.
