SILVER ALERT: William Earl "Willie" Powell 72 - Garland, NORTH CAROLINA

Sampson County lawmen are continuing to search for a missing man who suffers from dementia and wandered away from his residence on Tuesday.
A Silver Alert has been issued for William Earl "Willie" Powell 72, who lives on Birdy Lane in Garland and has a history of wandering away from the residence, a Sampson County Sheriff's Office release said.
Powell was reported missing about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, the release said.
Powell is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 180 pounds, has grey hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and brown loafers.
Emergency personnel from Sampson, Bladen, Pender and Brunswick counties are assisting, the release said.
The search is focused in Garland and wooded areas south of the town, the release said.
