SILVER ALERT: Betty Jean Toepfer, 87 - Riverside County, CALIFORNIA

An 87-year-old woman who was last seen leaving a bus station in Downtown Riverside is still missing and authorities are following up on leads to try to determine her whereabouts, a Riverside County Sheriff's official reported.
A silver alert has been released for the missing woman, Betty Jean Toepfer, who was last seen April 8, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's report.
Though nearly a month has passed since the time Toepfer has gone missing, a silver alert remains in effect and will continue to remain in effect until she is located, said Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy Armando Munoz.
Officials have been following up on leads, the number of which has been bolstered by news reports from local media outlets, Munoz said.
At the time of her disappearance, Toepfer was 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighed about 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blazer-type jacket or sweater and was carrying a black purse.
Anyone with information about Toepfer's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Riverside County Sheriff's Department at 951-776-1099.
