#MISSING: Phillip Davis, 29 - Kemah, TEXAS

The U.S. Coast Guard and Texas Equusearch are searching for a missing man about three miles off Kemah on Saturday.

Phillip Davis, 29, is missing. Coast Guard officials said he jumped off a boat at about 3:20 p.m. to swim, but waves pushed the boat away and he was not able to catch up to it.

The Kemah Fire Department and volunteers are assisting the Coast Guard in the search.
"The Coast Guard requests good Samaritans help search the area off Kemah in the water and along the shoreline on the Seabrook side toward Red Bluff Point. The winds are 20 knots from the south-southeast with 2-4 foot waves."The Coast Guard released a statement that welcomed any to help with the search:
Anyone with information or sights on Davis is asked to call the Coast Guard at 281-464-4855.
