#MISSING: Larry Bolen, 62 - Douglasville, GEORGIA (Teacher at Alexander High School - driving a green 1993 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan with GA plate PJT8801)

Every day that goes by, Larry Bolen's family and friends' fears grow. The Douglas County High School teacher has been missing for six days. Bolen is supposed to retire in two weeks when the school year is over. So why would he just leave?
Douglas County Sheriff investigators say Bolen left his Dorsett Shoals Road home last Friday night. His 24-year-old son, who lives with him, said Bolen was gone when he woke up Saturday morning.
"They're very concerned for his safety," said Lt. Glenn Daniel. "They say he's never been gone for over two days without contacting them."
Bolen teaches Brit-Lit at Alexander High School in Douglasville where Principal Nathan Hand has been coordinating covering for his classes the past three days. "We're all deeply concerned but we're hoping for the best you know, and we're trying to remain optimistic that there is an answer," he said.
Hand said he has known Bolen for 16 years. Before Alexander High School, they both taught at Lithia Springs High School.
Investigators say Bolen left his home in a Green 1993 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan. The vehicle has a Georgia tag PJT8801. "We don't want to assume worst case scenario," Hand said. "My hope is that he's decided to retire a couple of weeks early and he's gone out to visit with folks."
Investigators say they are keeping an eye on Bolen's credit and debit cards but so far, he hasn't used them. They can't track his cell phone because he left it at home.
They are asking anyone with information on Bolen's location to contact the Douglas County Sheriff Office at 770-949-5656.
