A former Venice city council member is missing, and police are asking for help. 67-year-old David Sherman was last seen at his Venice home on Saturday afternoon. Right now the police say there's no evidence of foul play, but they are calling Sherman's disappearance suspicious.
It's a situation that is causing much concern for those close to the former council man.
"It's as if he just walked away or somebody took him away," she adds."[It's] devastating," says Peggie Perkins, talking about her longtime boyfriend David Sherman. "This is not his norm, he would have not just wondered off."
Venice Police are now conducting a criminal investigation, and investigators are asking anyone with information about Sherman's whereabouts to come forward.
