Located safe; Lindsey McNamara, 24 - Ashland, MASSACHUSETTS

An Ashland woman missing since last week is safe and sound in California, Ashland Police said on Wednesday.

Lindsey McNamara, 24, is staying with an uncle in San Diego County, her family discovered on Wednesday, Ashland Police spokesman Lt. Richard Briggs said.

"She's out there on her own free will," said Briggs. "We have closed the case. We're just glad she's alive and well."
