Earthly body located; Belle Patcharin Neal, 46 - Travis County, TEXAS

— Authorities recovered the body of a woman missing since late last month from a creek Wednesday in western Travis County, the sheriff's office confirmed Friday.

Authorities got a call about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday from someone who saw the body near Pedernales Summit Parkway and State Highway 71. The water was only two feet deep, but because of very rough terrain it took a few hours to recover the body, the Travis County Sheriff's Office said.

The Medical Examiner's office confirmed with detectives late Thursday it was Belle Neal, 46, who was last seen Jan. 30 in the 18400 block of Deep Well Drive, which is in the same area where the body was found.

"All evidence points to drowning but the final ruling on the cause of death, as well as the manner of death, is pending toxicology results," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
