#MISSING: Jessica Ponders, 33 - Asheville, NORTH CAROLINA (concern for welfare - with her boyfriend Jonathan Torres who is wanted on assault warrants)

Police have released new and disturbing pictures of the moments a 33-year-old Asheville woman was last seen.

Investigators are still searching for Jessica Ponders and her boyfriend Jonathan Torres, 33, who is wanted on assault warrants.

The images were shot outside a Walmart on Hendersonville Road on Nov. 15.

"They were fighting, in an argument at the cash register at check out, and then the argument became physical and the male pushed her and the female tried to run away inside the store. The male then grabbed her and put her in a headlock and then walked her out the store," Det. Chris Hickman of Asheville Police said.

Det. Hickman said the fight escalated outside the store.

"On the surveillance video, you can see the female trying to escape, pushing, hitting—kinda kicking," Hickman said.

Hickman said Torres forced Ponders into a van and two bystanders tried to block it from leaving the parking lot.

"The van moved in reverse in a quick manner almost striking one of the people then forward almost striking the other person, swerved around them and took off through the parking lot," Hickman said.

Torres could be facing charges for almost hitting those bystanders and the fight with ponders.

According to court documents, Torres has a criminal past including dozens of misdemeanor and felony convictions dating back to 1999.

"The two reasons we want to check is one for him to be served and two, no one has laid eyes on her to let us know her welfare," Hickman said.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of either Ponders and/or Torres is urged to contact the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110 or Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050.
