#MISSING: Damarius "Heavy D" Kelly, 20 - Michigan City, INDIANA

The family of a northwest Indiana man missing since Wednesday is speaking out tonight, seeking the public's help in locating him.
Twenty-year-old Damarius "Heavy D" Kelly has not been seen since the early hours of November 26, 2014. He did not attend Thanksgiving dinner with his family, causing immediate concern for his safety in a region where overnight temperatures fall into the teens and twenties.
Shequitta Kelly, Damarius' cousin, said he is not the type of young man to go missing without warning.
From her home near Dallas, Texas, Shequitta Kelly told The Examiner that family members were instantly concerned when her cousin did not show up for a planned Thanksgiving dinner.
Damarius Kelly was reportedly living at his girlfriend's house with the young woman and her mother, who say they haven't seen him since early Wednesday morning.
Damiarius' girlfriend, 20-year-old Tamela "Tammy" Ross thinks he may be trying to travel north to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
His family, however, does not believe the young man would have left without telling anyone, and they have been following up on multiple sightings since his disappearance.
Damarius Kelly is not known to have any current medical conditions or mental instabilities that could prohibit him from communicating with his family. A check of LaPorte County public criminal records shows no outstanding warrants or criminal history for the missing man.
It was also well-known to Damarius' family that he was preparing to leave for the Job Corps, but the date was in the future, according to his cousin, Shequitta Kelly.
At the time of his disappearance, Damarius Kelly was wearing light blue jeans, a blue winter coat with fur on the collar, and had on a white belt. He is not believed to be driving a vehicle, and is believed to be traveling on foot. He was last seen in the vicinity of East 10th Street in Michigan City, near Petti's Grocery.
Due to the Thanksgiving weekend, police assistance is limited in the small, tourist town bordering Lake Michigan.
Scott Matzke is the police officer currently assigned to Kelly's case at the Michigan City Police Department.
