Earthly body located; Stephanie Low 22 - Wausau, Wisconsin

Investigators found human remains about noon Friday and exhumed the body Saturday in the Wabeno area, about an hour and a half northeast of where Stephanie Low went missing, Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel said at a press conference Monday.
Low was 22 years old when her mother, Claudia Blake, reported her missing after she could not get in touch with her daughter. Police found evidence of violence in Low's apartment on West Thomas Street but provided few details. No suspect in her disappearance had been named before Monday, although one man had been called a "person of interest."
The state Attorney General's office will soon file charges against that man, Kristopher Torgerson, 34, of Wausau, in Low's murder, Hardel said. The Marathon County District Attorney's Office said the investigation had merit but declined to take the case because of staffing issues and "several pending homicide cases," Hardel said. He said the District Attorney's Office requested that the Attorney General's Office handle the case.
Hardel said his department is "very confident" in the case against Torgerson, who led investigators to the shallow grave where they found Low's remains.
