The search is on for a man and woman in Murfreesboro who may have crossed paths at an apartment complex where the woman works and the man lives.
Elizabeth Brooke Roberts, 30, of Manchester, was last seen at The Reserve at Harper's Point Luxury Apartments Homes at 225 John R. Rice Blvd by co-workers on Monday, according to her mother, Brenda Ginnett.The woman's mother is afraid something bad has happened to her daughter.
Ginnett filed a missing person's report with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office on Monday.
For now, she is consuming herself with work at her Internet T-shirt design business in Tullahoma.
"One task takes about three hours to complete because your mind wanders," Ginnett said.
She hasn't slept a wink since her daughter went missing.
"I was awake every hour on the hour and have been since Monday night," Ginnett said. "The nights are extremely long; you can only look out that window so many times."
Roberts' 2005 Toyota Sequoia was found at the Cason Trail Greenway Trailhead by Murfreesboro police.
Her cell phone was still inside, which is something her mother says is quite out of the ordinary.
"That phone is attached to her like an umbilical cord as most folks are today," Ginnett said.
-------> On Wednesday, Diane Bodwell of Prescott, AZ, reported her son, 25-year-old Noah Bodwell, of Murfreesboro, was missing.
His mother told police he has an alcohol problem and has been in a psychiatric hospital.
"Ms. Bodwell then stated neighbors of Noah observed him leaving approx. 5:00 a.m. this week," the report reads. "Ms. Bodwell then advised Noah called Advanced Financial on Monday 7-21-14 approx. 1712 (5:12 p.m.) and that was the last time he used his phone."
Police believe Bodwell and Roberts may be together.
"The Murfreesboro Police Department is assisting the Coffee County Sheriff's Office in a missing person investigation," wrote Murfreesboro police spokesman Sgt. Kyle Evans in a media release. "Through that investigation, a companion missing person case was initiated, as investigators believe the two individuals are likely together."
"What I've been told they (investigators) have no reason to suspect that my daughter is no longer with us," Ginnett said. "At the time, they are treating this case as the worst-case scenario."
Roberts has an 8-year-old daughter, and her mother said she would never just up and leave her little girl.
"I'm very worried about her," Ginnett said.
"Thus far, investigators have found no evidence indicating that a crime has been committed," Evans said.
Police have put out a BOLO for the couple. Roberts is described as 5'6" and weighing about 180 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Bodwell is described as 5'11" and weighing 175 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
