Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station detectives are actively searching for a 2-year-old girl who went missing from Castaic in November, an official said Thursday.
The missing girl, identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as Shae Rebel, was first reported missing at 4:50 p.m. on Nov. 21, according to Deputy Josh Dubin with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
"It is a current, active investigation," Dubin said Thursday.
Dubin said the case was immediately assigned to a detective when Rebel was reported missing.
"We're following up on leads and the investigation is progressing," he said.

Rebel is described as a white female, with blonde hair and blue eyes, who is approximately 3 feet tall and 26 pounds.
She may be in the company of her father, Jesse Rebel, according to reports.
"It's being investigated as a parental abduction (and) missing person's report," Dubin said.
Jesse Rebel is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 6'1" tall and weighs 175 pounds, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The center also said Jesse Rebel may have taken his daughter to North Dakota.
