VULNERABLE MISSING MAN: Joseph Guaragna, 44 - Tucson, ARIZONA (has a mental deficiency)

The Tucson Police Department seeks public assistance with locating a missing vulnerable adult male.

Joseph Guaragna, 44-years of age, was last seen in the vicinity of East 5th Street and North Tucson Boulevard at approximately 11:30 a.m. on December 27, 2012. Mr. Guaragna was in the area with his mother, but walked away from her vehicle at some point.

Attempts were made to locate him, and the Tucson Police Department was ultimately notified and asked to
assist with finding Mr. Guaragna.

He resides at a residence in the 3200 block of North Kelvin. Mr. Guaragna has been diagnosed with a mental disorder, causing him to occasionally act inappropriately around other persons.

►He also has a mental deficiency, causing him to behave as if he was significantly younger than his actual age. His behavior and mental state are described as being similar to that of a small child.

►Mr. Guaragna is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6'00" tall, approximately 160 pounds, with curly brown hair, and blue eyes.

►He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with the letters "NAMI" on it, agray fleece vest, a black shirt, and black jeans.He is comfortable asking people for change or food items and has previously been known to remove food and drink items from the trash for consumption.

There is increased concern for Mr. Guaragna due to the cold overnight temperaturesas well as his general inability to care for himself.

Anyone having information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 so that he can be returned to his family and
residence.
