The Kennebunkport Police Department says it is asking for the public's help in finding two men who were last seen on Thursday.
According to police, 21-year-old Zachary Wells and 23-year-old Prescott Wright were last seen at 5 Mills Road in Kennebunkport around midnight Thursday.
According to Kennebunkport police chief Craig Sanford, Wells and Wright were last seen hanging out with friends at the home.
Sanford said it is not known when or how the men left the home. Authorities assume they left together. Both men may have been intoxicated when they were last seen.
Sanford said both men are students at the Landing Boat School in Arundel and failed to attend classes on Thursday and Friday.
Administrators at the Boat School called the Kennebunkport Police Department on Friday to report the disappearance of the men.
Sanford said police continue to investigate with the help of the Coast Guard and Marine Patrol checking the coastline, looking for the missing men.
"We currently have not hard facts to support the men going into the water at this time," Sanford said. "Because of the residence being in close proximity to the water, we felt it prudent to ask for the search of that area."
According to Sanford, Wells and Wright were expected to head to their home states for the holidays.
