Police agencies in Carlton County are teaming up in an investigation into the disappearance of a Floodwood woman.

A statewide missing person alert was issued Wednesday for Cristyna Watson, who was last seen in Floodwood on Sept. 8.

The Cloquet Police Department, Carlton County Sheriff's Office and Fond Du Lac Police Department are working with the Floodwood Police Department on the case. Also assisting is the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Watson, 25, is described as a white woman who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has brown hair with blond highlights. Her eyes are hazel and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing blue jeans with holes in them and a black shirt.

A family member told police that they spoke with Watson on the phone Sept. 9 and she said she was in Hinckley.

Posts from friends and family on a Facebook page devoted to the case say she may be with someone against her will.

Her mother, Laurie Snaza, said Thursday evening that there have been no new breaks in the case.
